This hotel offers standard comfort inn quality, clean but nothing fancy. It's okay if you are just looking for a place to rest your head for the night. Breakfast is actually worse than in other comfort inns I have stayed at.

Just like most Comfort Hotels, this one was a roll of the dice. Some are new and very well-appointed, others are older and despite updating, miss the mark. This property is clearly older, two floors with no elevator, and one very long musty hallway. Small and dated lobby, with spartan breakfast room. Our deluxe king room had an odd odor, a combination of carpet shampoo, musty, and telltale smoke. The bed had one of those old-fashioned bedspreads that likely is never washed. The average age at breakfast was at least 65. And even with AAA, it set me back $120. Front desk staff was friendly - in a Maine sort of way. Close enough to Acadia NP. If I had it to do again, I would have stayed at the Hampton Inn, which is brand new and also close to Ellsworth restaurants.

My wife and I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Ellsworth for one evening. We chose the hotel after doing some research on TripAdvisor and looking for an economical hotel close to Acadia National Park. If you are looking for the same, this Comfort Inn is a great choice. The hotel is very nice and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hot breakfast in the morning was very nice and offered a large variety of breakfast foods for all tastes. Ellsworth is only about a 30 minute drive from the Hulls Cove Visitor Center at Acadia National Park; so provides a great jumping off spot for your trip there. And it is much more economical that hotels in the Bar Harbor area. We would definitely stay here again.

We got to town at 9:30 am and check in time is in the afternoon, but we wanted to find our hotel and see if by any chance our room was available. It wasn't, but the desk staff offered us the free continental breakfast even though we hadn't stayed the night before! She asked if we needed any help with finding our way to Bar Harbor and around Acadia National Park and was very helpful recommending restaurants. The room was very comfortable, clean, big, and very quiet! They have many options for breakfast (chocolate or blueberry waffles, yogurt, donuts, bagels, toast, cereal...etc.) We will defintely be back again; it is only about 20 mins to Bar Harbor and a lot less expensive that hotels there!
