I originally wanted to stay in Boothbay Harbor, but had a hard time getting a reservation at some of the B&Bs there due to the Columbus Day weekend. I'm so glad it worked out that way! We ended up staying at the Linekin in East Boothbay and it was one of the highlights of our trip. This area is the more picturesque, and the B&B is really a gem. The B& B was beautiful with gorgeous landscaping, great views, exceptional hosts, and absolutely amazing breakfasts. Huge kudos to Larry and his wife for making this such an exceptional place. We stayed in the Crooked Chimney rooms and just loved it. We hiked in the Linekin Preserve and sat on the bench donated by the B&B. The owners are exceptional. The place is spotless, nice bed linens, fluffy towels -- every detail just perfect. Check out Ocean Point for an amazing view at sunset -- just minutes from the B&B.
