“Relaxing atmosphere with gorgeous setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

"We'll leave the room key taped to the office door with directions to your room" says the clerk when I told him I would not be there until after midnight. That's the easy, laid back feeling you get when staying there. Nestled right on the water, early mornings are filled with sea mist, gull cries and low tide goodies. Comfortable room with 2 double beds, sliding glass doors to the deck overlooking it all. Not luxury but supplied with basic amenities. Cereal, toast, coffee, english muffin, juice and rolls made up the complimentary breakfast served starting at 7am. A one hour walk to the nearest store. Stock up if someone is left there without a car. Plan on spending time in the very clean fresh water pool, hike or drive around ocean point (a rocky Maine public beach is there) or take the 10 minute drive to Boothbay for the touristy stuff.

“Great place great views clean and friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

Sayed here for the first time to Boothbay Harbor. Spotless accomodations. Bed slept very comfortably. A/C cooled the room nicely. View from Balcony was amazing. Romantic, evening found next day foggy and really beautiful,. Fog horns in the distance tell you you are on the coast. And everything was just perfect. WILL BE BACK

“Fantasic”

Great place. Great views of cove, water front, heated pool, big clean rooms. No bad rooms at this hotel. We have stayed here once before and it was just as good this time.

“Not what we expected”

We visited Maine for a peaceful getaway by the water. The view from our room did not match that on our website, but it was still nice. On our second night, a large group of the hotel guests set up a party just below our balcony. They were loud and carried on until 10:30 p.m. The noise included music, people talking, and children screaming and running up and down steps; all of these noises could be heard in our room even with the balcony doors closed. When we spoke to management about the problem, we were told that they were a larger group who has been visiting the inn for many years. Translation - my $150+ per night was small change compared to what the group brought in, so our comfort and enjoyment did not matter to them. This was very insulting, on top of having an unpleasant evening.

“Get reservation in writing.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2010

We ordered our room online and chose a frst floor unit, [you could chose exact one on Internet], as my wife has great difficulty with stairs. On check in we learned they had given us a second floor room and staff was unable to accomodate any change. It proved to be quite a chore for our comings and goings. Overall room was average. View was nice but place was rather noisy. Breakfast was nothing special and by the time we arrived near the end of serving place was a mess. Plus cut off time was a very inconvenient 9AM.
