“What a great night!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

We decided to go to Camden at the last minute, and how wonderfully surprised we were. The Hartstone is an amazing Inn in the middle of town that wow's you from the start. The staff is extremely attentive and the rooms are beautifully appointed. Our room was very cozy, yet had lots of room..... gorgeous shower!!. We had great cocktails before we left for dinner at a relatives home and will return another time for a dinner at Hartsone. The breakfast was delightful.

“Stayed for work but will return for pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

I was blown away by the attention to detail shown at the Hartstone Inn. The rooms are very well appointed and staff has taken care to anticipate your needs before they come up. Some nice touches that stood out in my mind:

- I loved the seating area in my room by the window, complete with magazines and a TV with cable and a built in DVD player (they keep a small library of DVDs on the premises). I was able to relax and unwind during the evening before my early wake up call for work.
- There were many types of lighting fixtures in the room including multiple lights in the bathroom, lamps throughout, and even a nightlight (great for when you're staying in an unfamiliar room).
- The bed was super comfortable and warm, with a quality quilt, a memory foam mattress, and three types of pillows to choose from (regular, down, and memory foam).
- There was a noise machine and iPod dock in the room - plus earplugs! I am someone who needs white noise to sleep, and even have an app on my phone for when I stay in hotels and B&Bs. I didn't even need it here - they had already thought of it!
- Sadly, I had to leave before breakfast was served, but the host left a small to-go bag on my door with some fruit and a delicious bread in it.
- Meghan gave me a short tour when I checked in; she was polite, inviting, and up-beat. I received all the information I needed without feeling overloaded or like I needed to get out of there to retreat to my room.
- My room was perfectly clean, and I found two Lindt chocolate truffles waiting for me. It was these types of small touches which made this Inn truly superb.

I would recommend anyone stay at the Hartsone Inn.

“Wonderful Get Away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

My husband surprised me with an overnight get away. We arrived to find a charming Inn nestled in downtown Camden. The staff was warm and friendly and ready to assist us with any need. We reserved the "Manor Suite" in an adjacent building, it was a beautifully decorated suite with a fire-place and sitting area. The king size bed was comfortable and the linens were excellent. Our 5-course dinner and breakfast were exceptional. We throughly enjoyed our "get-away" and look forward to coming again.

The Inn itself was/is in excellent condition; very elegantly decorated. Every staff member we spoke with was very helpful, courteous, and genuinely friendly. The evening and breakfast dining experiences were outstanding.

“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

We spent 2 nights at Hartstone for our "Babymoon" and found the whole establishment satisfactory. The dinners at the inn are really great. The chef specializes in French cuisine and the food is very rich. Lots of creme anglaise desserts and cream sauces with dinner.

I can't say enough great things about the staff and service. Staff was friendly, unimposing and made sure we always had what we needed at dinner and breakfast. Sometimes staff at inns can be too friendly and you get stuck in conversations when you really just want to be enjoying your vacation. This is not the case at Hartstone. Staff is smiling and very professional. We felt like a priority.

We stayed in the Viola room and it was well appointed with a king size bed, cute fireplace and luxurious sheets. The bathroom was small, but shower had a marble surround and the products were lush. The only thing I would mention is that I had a chance to peek into the other guest rooms that were unoccupied and I noticed that some were rather small. My husband and I will return sometime, so I would want to be sure we avoided the smaller rooms. Our room had plenty of space and we loved it.

Hartstone is the real deal. Next time you are in Camden check it out.

Room Tip: Some of the room in the main house are very small. I am not sure, but it seems like you can avoid th...
