Myu husband and I usually travel without reservations as we spend the night where we think is an interesting place to stay. On entering the Inn we found out that it was no longer a Best Western and were prepared to leave but fortunately decided to stay. We were pleasantly surprised. The lady at the reception area was very personable and helpful. She recommended McLeod's Restaurant directly across the street from the Inn. We didn't have high hopes on entering the establishment - but the food was excellent and was comparable to most fine dining establishments (without the fuss).as was the service. Our room was very well furnished and very clean (no dust to be found anywhere). The continental breakfast didn't have a large assortment of choices but was very good nonetheless and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The Inn, in general, is a very homey and comfortable place and we will definitely stay there on our next trip through Maine.
