“Even better than I remembered!”

I stopped at the Parkwood Inn last week. I had not been there in about 2 years. With the hotel under new management I was pleasantly surprised. The entire staff, from he concierge at the front desk, Julie, to the lounge/waitstaff Stephanie, to Hal the in house Chef it was a wonderful experience. All members of the staff were curteous, helpful, and informative. My associates and I enjoyed a sumptous dinner in the restaurant that now has a full time Chef, Hal. We all had wonderful appetizers and meals. My chicken breast panini was exquisite - all the ingredients were fresh and tasty with a full chicken breast cooked to perfection. All my associates were impressed as well. Even Chef Hal came out from the kitchen to the dining room to introduce himself! Renovations are currently under way to enhance the MIdCoast Maine Inn experience (well camoflaged to not impact our stay). Thumbs up! Keep up the great work!

“Can't Wait to Go Back”

We recently stayed at the Parkwood Inn in Brunswick and were pleasently surprised at what a lovely little hotel this was. We were actually not planning on staying in the Brunswick area, but our vehicle broke down and we needed to find a place to stay. We lucked out!! The entire staff went out of their way to help us due to our dilemma. The front desk searched for a car rental for us, and made two trips to take us back and forth to the repair garage where our car was towed. The lady in the restaurant made hot chocolate (with marshmallows) for our kids at 10:00 p.m. after our miserable day, which certainly made an impression on them (and me as well). The room was great, the breakfast was great and free, and the pool made for a great place for us to calm down for a bit. We will certainly stop at The Parkwood the next time we travel through and we will recommed to our friends. Thank you Parkwood Inn.

Room Tip: We had a room by the pool and it was very convenient

“Close to everything”

We were touring Oar and Bailey Island and needed a place for the nigght. The island rooms were booked so we tried the Parkwood. It was clean and nice. The fireplace was not even on and heated the entire room which was not the best as it was a warm weekend. We ended up needing the a/c to counter it. We did not eat there or try the bar. The staff were nice and the room was clean. we never got to the pool but saw families with kids headed down. It looked nice. I would recommend it.

Room Tip: Splurge for the suite.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback! I am thoroughly glad your recent stay was enjoyable! It is true we are only a few miles from the small Islands that make up Harpswell, which makes us a good location to base many area activities from.

I hope you get the chance to come back to try our Chef Al's famous New England Clam Chowder, while having a local beer on tap! You won't be dissapointed!

“Ruined Family Christmas”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

Came in from out of state to enjoy Christmas with the entire family. We decided to stay at the Parkwood for our family gathering. Big mistake!!! The staff was rude to our family and made it very uncomfortabl throughout our stay. The event coordinator (Tammy) was the least professional and lacked customer service! As a teacher we teach kids to respect adults and be kind mannered. She did neither! We rented a room for the event and it turned out to have no heat! She made our stay the worst stay ever! I travel to Maine often and will not stay at this hotel again! The front desk staff also lacked in customer service! I could go on an wish I could find a good thing to say about our stay, but they ruined our family gathering!

Room Tip: Bath Maine has some great new hotels!

“Never again....”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

Our recent stay at the Parkwood was anything but pleasant. The staff was rude and unprofessional. We had planned a family reunion function that was met with an inflexible, hostile staff. The function room had no heat and we had to clean the room oursleves. The hotel rooms were old and dated, mold in the bathrooms, wall paper torn on the hallways, etc. In need of a total make over and some customer service training. Stay in Freeport or Bath instead!
