Very much enjoyed the room and the history of the Inn.The food was incredible!!! Must have the Lazy Lobster and Coconut Ice Cream. Breakfast is excellent and employees are attentive to guests. Patio lights, music and bar outside add a nice atmosphere with friends.
Went Sailing Yesterday and kayaking today. Got out before the storms. I look forward to going back as there is so much to do. This is a great deal for the money. Hope to get back to Thistle Inn soon.

We loved our stay at the Thistle Inn in Boothbay Harbor. The staff was very accommodating and stayed up late for us, since we weren't going to be able to make it during normal check in hours. The room was on the third floor and the stairs were steep, shallow, and a killer thigh work out, but that we didn't mind. The room was very spacious, had it's own a/c unit, and a VERY COMFORTABLE bed. The only problem we had was that the batteries in the tv remote were running low and it made it difficult to change the channel, etc. We were completely won over the next morning by breakfast! Coffee, orange juice, a delicious coffee cake, and eggs with homestyle potatoes, onions, mushrooms....so delicious!! Our only complaint is that we didn't have more time to spend here! We were just passing through, so we only stayed one night. I would definitely recommend it and would love to come back!

Wife and I had a lovely 4-night stay at The Thistle Inn B&B in Boothbay Harbor, ME. Excellent, convenient location, and the inn-keepers were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

This is a lovely inn, located right in the heart of Boothbay Harbor. We stayed in the Appledore Room. It was lovely -- the bed was very comfortable, and the room included a sitting area separated from the bed area by a vintage closet. The room is on the top floor of the three-story building, which means the ceilings are fairly low, but this made the room feel cozy rather than cramped. The room included a small window air-conditioner and fan, which did a decent job of circulating air and keeping the space cool.

The innkeeper was very friendly and had many useful suggestions about how to spend our days in the Boothbays. She was also able to accommodate our late arrival.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and is served in the "library" room or on the large, leafy terrace. We didn't get to sample the dinner or happy hour in the restaurant/bar, but the room looked very inviting.

We will be happy to stay here again next time we're in the area. It's a great inn, and the rates were extremely reasonable (especially given the deliciousness of the breakfast!!).
