Spent a few nights at Linekin Bay September 26, 2011. We found the resort online and said, let's give it a try. We are semi-sophisticated travelers and have stayed at many high end resorts. We wanted something down to earth, fun, and Linekin Bay provided just that. They bumped us up to a cottage right on the Bay, and it was, indeed, like going back in time, but that is part of the charm of this place. The cranberry muffins they made were the best I have ever had! The price was reasonable, and we had the place almost to ourselves in the fall, after the rush of the summer. The town is delightful, and the drives of the surrounding areas were great. We plan to return next year. If you go, don't miss the BoothBay Railway. The botanical gardens are nice also. If you are seeking luxury accomodations, this is not the place. You won't see much Gucci here! :)
