Again, our stay at the Rocktide was a pleasant Maine experience. Everything, from the ladies at the front desk to the greeters and waitstaff in the excellent dining room, to the cleanliness of the rooms was first rate. The buffet breakfast (included in the room rate) was superb. We have stayed at the Rocktide twice a year for over 20 years, and the experience never fails to please. Kudos to Mrs. Steane, Mary Lou, and all those who make up the Rocktide team. Dominic's piano music in the dining room evenings is an added pleasure. And, being greeted by Ramona for many years is always eagerly awaited. Lastly, the rate for our recent stay was well below what was expected. As if you can't tell, we will return!

This hotel is one of two that have a view of the sunset on Booth Bay. The hotel bar has an open deck with on the harbor, and a dining room with the view as well. You can watch all the water action while having dinner/apps or just a quiet drink. You also get a nice buffet breakfast with the price of this room(which is extremely reasonable). The room we stayed in was the least expensive they offer but still had a view of the harbor. Very clean and average sized. The Hotel personnel were extremely friendly. There is a walking dock next to the hotel that takes you across the harbor right into the heart of the city. Their is also a nice indoor pool.

We last stayed here in 1987 and it had to have been at least 30 years old at that time. This is not a cookie cutter motel , it is a unique resort property with spectacular views (if you want to pay for those rooms) and a marvelous hot buffet breakfast included in the room price. The Blueberry Muffins are to die for. The restaurant is first class.

As others have said, this is a unique location, right next to the footbridge across the harbor. You avoid the gridlock of downtown Boothbay Harbor but still have its accessibility.

Great location right next to the footbridge, so you can walk everywhere in this lovely town. Reception was warm and friendly with lots of ideas about things to do and information about the area. You can sit out on the deck and have a cocktail and watch the sunset in the evening. Breakfast was included in our Fall Special and was tasty with fresh fruit, homemade muffins, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, etc and you sit in the evening dining room overlooking the harbor. There is also a museum quality exhibit of ship models in the entry and library area that is definitely worth browsing and adds to the down east charm. Rooms were comfortable and clean, though not overly fancy if that is what you are looking for. We were very happy with the Rocktide Inn and are planning to stay longer next fall.
