I recently stayed at the Holidae House again while visiting my daughter who goes to school at Gould Academy. I was greeted by Laurence with the warmth of a returning family member who has been away too long. My daughter's favorite room #6 was readied for me and as I unpacked it felt as f I were visiting a family home. After a long day of travel (and several teacher meetings) I was asleep quickly and comfortably under layers of soft blankets and a duvet. The next morning, breakfast was as welcoming and rewarding as I remembered. The scones were freshly baked, the eggs were scrambled perfectly (and gathered locally just the previous morning). Two more nights of slumber and yummy breakfasts awaited. Sunday-french toast made with homemade cinnamon bread and Monday-more scrambled eggs. My daughter joined me for breakfast two of the tree mornings and on Monday, Laurence made up a fresh batch of pancake batter just for her (seeing as the other guests had departed on Sunday). This is my fourth visit to the Holidae House and I'm just as pleased as I was the first time. I will continue to stay here for the next two years while my daughter is attending school. In fact, I may have to send my son to school here just so I can continue to stay at this wonderful bed + breakfast. Laurence and Marcia are the best at what they do. So I will continue to stay here because it truly feels each time like I've come home!
