“Dog Lovers Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2010

I've stayed at Paws Inn a few times and loved it every time. The owner is laid back, casual and happy to have you. She'll chat with you or leave you be; but she'll always chat and play with your dog! Dogs are allowed to hang out with her (and her new pup Kip) all day if you go out, and we always leave the door to our room open if the dogs want to wander back into their bed. There's a fenced in area in the back that leads into an enclosed barn. The dogs can run and play there; or just take care of business. There's a guest fridge in the kitchen, and Carolyn genuinely opens her home up to you while you stay there. She has coupons and good suggetions of where to go for dinner/things to do. This is the absolutely perfect place to stay with a pup during the winter. You can ski/snowboard for the day, and your pup gets to play all day! Its win/win!

“Perfect Place for Travelling with Family Dog(s)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2010

Just returned from spending Memorial Day weekend at Paws Inn and we cannot say enough good things about the Inn and the owner Carolyn -- we will definitely stay there again. You can take your dog with you during the day or leave it at the Inn to play with the other dogs. We took our dog hiking with us one day and left her to play with the other dogs the following day. Carolyn is a very accommodating hostess and makes sure you have whatever you need. Our Dog (Derby) had a great time while we were there. If you like traveling with your dog and he / she is at all socialized, this a wonderful place to stay.

“Great place for people and dogs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2008

The owner, Carolyn, is a wonderful host. Paws Inn is a casual B&B for people and their dogs. We could keep our door open if we wanted to let our dogs wander the house or play with Sam (Carolyn's dog). And when Carolyn was there while we were out, she's super nice and let them outside in the pen for a bit. If you love dogs, and want a comfortable place to stay with them - this is it!

“A truly dog friendly inn”

The Paws Inn in Bethel Maine is a delightful place for you and your dogs to stay. It is like a home away from home for us. We have been visiting now for 3 years and look forward to each trip. Carolyn is accomodating to both people and their dogs. She really makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Her dog Sampson is also a skilled innkeeper and keeps the dogs entertained. The house is cozy and only 10 minutes from Sunday River. It is also a great place to visit in summer with great hikiing nearby. A great place for true dog lovers to stay. An added bonus is Carolyn's excellent baking skills, check out the banana nut or cinnamon coffee cake.
