“The Sudley is a welcoming haven for travelers regardless of the season”

Spent a few days in Bethel over the course of thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. We scanned the city for lodging and blindly stumbled upon the Sudley Inn. What a wonderful find. This was definitely the best place I stayed along the entire Appalachian trail. The restaurant at the Inn is quite fancy but the prohibition-style basement pub has a wonderful vibe. 29 beers on tap give you plenty of options as you listen to live music and watch the locals dance the night away.

Reggae band was a great experience last night.

“Third Time Here - Great as Usual - We'll be back but not sure When!”

This was our third trip as a family to stay at the Sudbury Inn. We thoroughly enjoyed it yet again - the breakfasts are amazing and superb value for money.
Scott was as always a fantastic host along with all the other members of staff.
We always stay in the Deluxe Suite as it has a jacuzzi bath tub to ease my aching joints after a days skiing.
The Inn is always lovely and warm no matter what the temperature is outside.
We will return again although not sure when.

“great as usual!!”

I love this Inn. It is my third visit and the staff from front desk to servers are so friendly. Never feel rushed when I am there and the breakfasts (especially the giant pancakes) are the best! The halls to the rooms wind around like a maze which only adds to the charm. Bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was standard and clean. Pub downstairs has great food and nice variety of on-tap beers...many locals which is great!
i'LL BE BACK!

“Great find!”

We really enjoyed our stay here, so much so that in fact, it inspired me to write my first ever online review! They gave us a perfect room (room 7) for my husband and me and our two year old--it was actually 2 rooms separated by a bathroom. We had dinner at Suds Pub downstairs, with the great Tuesday deal of $5 pizzas and an awesome beer selection. It was packed, and the atmosphere was warm, cozy and local--like it was the place you HAD to be on Tuesday night. We loved the "old-ness" of the Inn--it's been taking lodgers for over 100 years. The next morning, the sit-down breakfast in the dining room was amazing! My husband and I hadn't slept that well due to a few freight trains during the night, but our delicious breakfast brightened us up immediately--you have to try the potatoes! The staff were very welcoming and friendly--especially Lisa. It was a great place all in all, and I'd love to go back!

“We will not return.”

This bnb is overpriced. The room could not be smaller. We had to ask for a desk and chair. Once they were placed in the room ,we had to squeeze by the leisure chair to get to the bathroom. I think we were the only guests that weekday night. Why they did not upgrade us is beyond me. The food was good; but not exceptional. All the halls were dark and dingy;plus banged up . Overall it was one huge disappointment. We will not recommend this inn. Only some strong computers would connect to the internet.
