Reading some of the other reviews the biggest issue seemed to be quite inflexible. Admittedly we had not read some of the fine print i.e. check-in time. But the window of three hours seems quite limited as we like to stop off at places on the way to our chosn desitnation and not feel like we have to rush to get there. I did phone ahead to provide an ETA but was told that the paperwork stated what time we had to be there. After a few minutes he admitted he was winding me up - not funny at the time, still not certain it was just a joke. When we arrived the guy also gave the impression that people generally were putting him out, especially if they did not turn up when he specified. This inflexibility also spilled over to the designated breakfast slot of 8-9. Not a problem, and in fairness breakfast was pretty good, but when you are on holiday you don't want to be told when you can do things because of narrow windows of opportunity.
The rooms were extremely generous in their space and had everything that was needed (by us). But as whole the place was quite deceptive. Whilst it looked quite nice from the outside, it is not really by the bay/beach, but you get a decent view from afar. Whilst the place is easily accessible as it it right on the "1" it is a fair drive in to Belfast so not conveniently located for the town. Maybe some generous marketing has gone in to the place.
Whilst I cannot quibble about the value for money, the attitude "thing" is something that needs addressing whether the owner perceives as a joke or not.
