Upon checking in very late in the middle of rain, I had been given keys to a two bedded poolside room (the room type I had confirmed on my reservation) which was not cleaned and didn't have any bedsheets! There was no one available to clean the room (the lady at the front desk admitted she was the only employee around -does this meet Holiday Inn standards?), and no other poolside rooms were available, so I was forced to downgrade to a room by the parking lot which gave me a night of asthma due to mildew, and had a stench whenever the airconditioner was off.
Entrance to the hotel from the parking lot side doors is by keycard, but the keycards don't work, they keep beeping red and you eventually end up walking all the way back to the front.
Note that poolside rooms on the ground floor do not have direct access to the pool (you have to go into the hotel corridors then walk through the gym to get to the pool). Decor is dated and begging for a renovation. The room we got had a flat screen TV, some other rooms didn't. Nice little Bath and Body works toiletries.
Despite my stay having been booked on points, the hotel charged me $26.75 for lodging. When I inquired about this, the hotel management told me this is always the case with Priority Club points bookings, that the customer still has to pay a share of the cost. I have already taken this up by phone with Priority Club -they advised me that I shouldn't have been charged anything for the room at all.
