“Peace & Love & Happiness...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

My husband surprised me with this trip over the New Years weekend. We have a cat named Kismet & he was very clever printing a picture of my Kismet in a Bath (Kismet Inn Bath) When we arrived, the smells from Shadi's kitchen alone were piquing our interest! She had baked us, from scratch, banana bread & ginger snap cookies & made us tea. On New Year's Eve, she made us fresh, homemade hot chocolate, seeded Pomegranate, "bloomed" an orange & delivered it to our room! Everything Shadi does for her guests is above & beyond. The service is just impeccable. She goes to the local Farmer's Market & cooks everything from scratch & from local farms, so you are getting the absolute best.
Her warmth & kindness are superior to anyone in any place we have ever stayed. We were the only ones there, but even if we were not, I know Shadi would have showed us the same amount of attention. The rooms were amazing. They were quiet, serene, & just what one needs to "get away" from the craziness of the modern world. And the location could not have been more convenient to the town center.
The bathroom...Oh, the bathroom...the tub was phenomenal. The other amenities are wonderful as well. Kate, the yoga guru, was unbelievably friendly & her philosophy on life was lovely. Shadi makes you feel as if you are home. There is no place like it, & we have definitely recommended it since we have come back home. We most certainly will be back. It is not just the "house" or the Inn that will make you want to stay, it is the people of Bath, Maine, & it is Shadi; who has made the Kismet Inn a home to her guests.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Saffron Room. It was gorgeous, & quiet. We had our own entrance which was conve...

“The best present I ever gave my wife”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

I was looking for a different, but personal gift for my wife. Using the internet, I found that The Kismet Inn offered massages, so I gave Shadi a call to see if I could set something up for my wife. After talking with Shadi, we settled on a massage, a body soak, and an exfoliation, followed by a dinner for the both of us. I dropped my wife off at 3 PM, and when I returned at 7 pm, she had just finished with the exfoliation. I applied a scented oil to complete the process, and she dressed for dinner. Shadi treated us like long time friends, and she prepared a fantastic dinner for two. The salad was to die for, and I actually had seconds. A wonderful baked delicado squash was then followed by slowly simmered lamb shanks. For dessert, Shadi prepared a baked blueberry dish with nut sprinkles. I certainly enjoyed the dinner, and my wife can't stop talking about her experiences. I can honestly say this was the best present I ever gave my wife.

“Nourishment for the Mind,Body,and Soul”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

When my parents and I arrived at Kismet Inn, Shadi emerged from hanging sheets on the line and gave each of us a warm embrace. It felt like she had known us for years! Shadi's warmth and exquisite care for her guests permeates throughout her B&B, which is the epitome of relaxation. The details of her vision of a sanctuary are quite impressive. Every inch of Kismet Inn reflects peace and calmness. From the delicate teas to the extraordinary breakfasts (which are worth a visit just to taste her cooking) and to the generous beds and spacious bathrooms, Shadi knows how to nurture guests. She is loving and generous, and wants everyone in her presence to feel warm and comfortable, relaxed and satiated from nutritious, organic foods. The Kismet Inn is a great place to visit alone for some solace, and also a great escape for loved ones to visit together. The yoga and massage were blissful. Take some time for yourself, and unwind with Shadi!

“It's really that good.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

This was the only B and B in which I've felt like a guest in a really good friend's home. I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money, its not cheap. The foods all organic and local and we thought it might be too hippy. And then the shoes were lined up on the front porch so I thought it might be too new age. After all that it was so worth the price, the food was amazing gourmet, and the place was immaculate and decorated with fresh eclectic pizazz. In a word: Perfect.

“A Divine 50th!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

Stumbling upon the Kismet Inn as my husband and I planned a New England trek for my 50th birthday was one of those unexpected and heavenly treasured detours from mainstream travel. The adventure of Kismet began when I was transported onto the website for the first time. Would it be the Saffron, Safari or the Sleigh room? Each appeared so warm, vibrant and nurturing. The color, texture and personality of each drew me in but nothing compared to what we experienced once we arrived! Shadi is as warm and vibrant a human being as I have ever met. Generous with recommendations about sightseeing, hiking and food adventures as well as sharing in warm and lively conversation. A culinary master who so generously and graciously served up delectable delicacies! My mouth is watering thinking about the fresh organic greens and famous Jeweled Chicken we enjoyed while dining for a very special dinner. I highly recommend making your reservations for dinner well in advance so to not miss this experience. Trust the chef.... be adventurous.... she will not disappoint!!! The Kismet is truly an oasis. As a couple my husband and I were thrilled with our stay. I also look forward to returning one day with my yoga girlfriends knowing this will be a magical retreat! And not to forget... morning yoga in the beautiful upstairs yoga room was a fabulous way to begin our day followed by side by side massages. Oh my, I'm ready to return! Thank you Shadi for making the two nights we were with you "Divine"!
