Stayed at the Hampton Inn, Bangor Dec 30 and Dec 31/11. Overall poor experience. Front desk staff were very unfriendly and one particular man actually bullied me about not changing channel on tv in breakfast room when there was nobody else there at the time, I only wanted to switch it to the weather and he told me very rudely that it must stay on the news channel. Maids were a bit friendlier but they all seemed afraid of there own shadow which made me think that whoever is running the hotel must be a real tyrant. Room seemed cleaned until we found someone else's diabetic blood testing kit lying on the floor beside our bed. We stayed in Room 111 and the tv in the breakfast area was so loud that I had a hard time getting to sleep. We were supposed to receive a movie pass for TinTin movie with our stay and inquired and were not directed on how to get it but rather told we should have gone on-line so in other words tough luck. Breakfast is far overrated as well. Overall, after spending $130/nt to be treated so rudely, I would drive myself up the highway 10 minutes and stay at the Econo Lodge next time where rooms are clean, staff is very friendly and breakfast is also included. Hampton Inn front desk staff - try smiling, don't bully and be more accomodating to Canadians in the future because word spreads fast.

This is a good quality Hampton inn. Everything you expect from this brand and a little extra. The breakfast was better than most Hampton inns. The location was very convenient. I would stay here again.
