I stayed here for one night before travelling to another part of Maine. I was in Bangor to do some shopping. I got a good price from a secret deal on Expedia who claimed that it was a 3 star hotel. It was much better than it was when I stayed a few years ago. The rooms seemed upgraded and the pool was recently overhauled. It was quite good for the price, but at best a 2.5 star property. You can smell cigarette smoke in some of the common areas and the parking lot needs to be resurfaced. A good place to stay if you can get in for less than $80.

This hotel is a wonderful hotel in the daytime. Friendly people, ready to help you with directions or if you need extra pillows or towels. BUT...... when the sun goes down and the club opens up the hoodlums come in the bar allows kids to get so intoxicated there are fights after the bar closes and rowdy people loud waking you up and the police just sit and watch. Not to mention you don't have a place to park once the club opens. You paid for a room at the hotel appearently that doesn't include a parking place. The people at the front desk will repeat over and over the same rehearsed statement "I am sorry I haven't been here that long and I am not authorized to do anything".

I held a two day training seminar at this location and I cannot express just how easy they were to work with. I was so impressed with how helpful and accommodating the staff was. The hotel is conveniently located and reasonably priced. I will definitely go back.

I agree with the nice beds review! I stayed recently in one of their '2 room suites'. It was perfect for my kids and I - so much room and so very comfortable. The pool was the favorite activity with my kids and the staff was very accommodating to my many requests for 'extras'! The price was competitive with the other hotels in the area and it was great to have a place to eat so close.
