I stayed here for two nights. It looked recently updated. The rooms were clean, but there was a bit of soap scum in the tub. The bar seemed to be the happening place in Bangor! I did not eat at the restaurant, so I can't say how the food is. There was a discrepancy in my bill later and the management fixed it up with no problems at all.

I'm a fan of the Holiday Inn/HIEx chain, and feel confident when booking with them. We were making a brief stop in Bangor, and were happy that Holiday Inn was available.

The hotel was easy to find, very close to I-95 amongst other hotels and restaurants. The main part of town seemed about 10-15 minutes away but that was not an issue for us.

The hotel showed its age a bit, was dark, and had a strange old design where different wings had no indoor access to the front desk. The staff were friendly but nothing above average.

The room was small and average, but it was clean. The bathroom had a memorable amount of water pressure which was nice!

Beds were average and did the job.

Maybe it was because of the dreary weather but the hotel seemed somewhat dingy. I'd say they are doing their best with the building they have, but I imagine that Holiday Inn has some plans for a new building in Bangor soon.

Would stay again.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Bangor after spending 2 nights at the Holiday Inn Express in North Conway 2 nights. We wanted to break up the long trip home. I was unsure about booking this hotel due to some negative reviews on Tripadvisor but we were very pleased with our stay. We arrived two hours early and since our room was cleaned htey allowed us to check in early. Our room was a double room with two double beds for us and our two children. The room was very roomy and clean. The bathroom was small but adequate and very clean as well. Our room included a microwave, a fridge and a big screen tv, which made us happy. The kids loved the pool while we soaked our weary feet in the hottub. Service was very good, check in and check out was quick and easy. We did not have breakfast included and did nto feel the buffet was worth 8.95 a person so we asked the staff where we should go. They recommended a great truck stop a cpl miles down the road, called Dysarts. It was very good and we will return there our next trip to Bangor. Location was very good to the shopping area as well, we were only a few minutes down the highway to the Bangor Shopping areas. We were here during Black Friday weekend.

Nice Hotel, Clean and Friendly in Typical Holiday Inn Fashion. Very Nice and Accomdating Front Desk staff, Its always nice to see the Housekeeper smiling every once and while and they did. Easy access to the highway. Quite bar, but easy engough to grab a burger and a beer if you dont want to go out. Always a plus having a Fridge and Microwave in the room which this hotel did. Would be happy to stay here again if in maine.
