“Average motel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

This hotel in Bangor is just average. It is not dirty. However, the walls are very thin and it is older and showing its age. Our toilet was jiggly and the room smelled funny. Also, when we were trying to sleep we could hear the TV going in the room beside us. The breakfast was not great, but was enough to get you going. The front desk staff were very friendly and accomodating. The pool was small, but it was clean. All in all, this hotel is good for a quick shopping trip or a quick stop-over, but not to stay in for a week.

“Great Place to Stay When Flying Out of Bangor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

I stayed one night with my 82 year old mother before taking a flight to Florida. The motel honored my request to be located on the first floor and close to the breakfast room. The room was fresh and clean. there was no excess noise coming from the hall or the room next door. The staff was courteous and responsive to our needs. Having the shuttle available was important. We had a wonderful stay and that helped to make our day of traveling go so much easier.I considered that I received good value for my $. Thank you.

“Watch our for the hiden Safe Charge”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

We stayed at the Days Inn on the First of November 2011, and when checking out they had charged me for a SAFE fee $1.00, not a big deal about the Dollar, just that they do not tell you that there will be a charge when you check in, but do tell you about the smoking Charge. The sign they have for the safe charge is hiding behind another sign or plant when you check in, so it's not something that you would ask about, nor did they let you know. This to me is a very poor way for a business to make a buck.

Room Tip: Ask about the hiden Fees that they will charge you.

“Unfriendly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

I stayed there in October 2011 while attending a friends wedding. Over all the staff wasn't friendly at all. I traveled 8 hours to get there from western connecticut and upon my arrival the staff at the desk was not friendly at all. There was no greating, just a "whats your last name?" from the clerk at the desk. Having worked front desk at a hotel I know how much people appriciate some "small talk" while they are getting checked in. I was told nothing that the hotel offers, breakfast hours, pool hours etc. The selection of breakfast items was minimal. I ended up going out and buying breakfast items because the selection was poor. The cleanliness of my room was up to par but in a friends room they found bed bugs on their towels in the bathroom and recieved no compensation for these unwelcomed guests.

Overall the staff was very unfriendly and I would stay somewhere else if I were to return to Bangor. The manager should sit everyone down and teach them how to treat their guests.

“Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

Stayed here for three nights, place was busy yet fairly quiet. Rooms were clean but bathroom was small, floor had hair on it from previous guests, noted that shampoo bottles were either refilled or recycled ( yuck), pool was small and never cleaned in the three days we stayed there.( wasps on the floor, towels still in the hamper, hair elastics still on the floor) Breakfasts were mininmum, bagels, cereal, or toast, yogurt, juice and coffee. After checking out and looking at the bill I was charged $1. per night for a safe which was in the room and never used.. I personally would not stay here again, there are better and cheaper motels in the area, which are much cleaner.

Room Tip: Would try to find another Motel.
