We are not usually the type to complain or even write a review, but this visit needs it. We had made our reservations online weeks in advance for my husband, myself and our daughter, so checking in WAS quick and easy. That was the best part. Things went downhill from there. We were given our room key and drove around the back. After unloading our luggage, we proceded to the room. My husband opened the door and there facing us was a DIRTY room. The bed was unmade and the last occupants room key was still on the table!! Really? So we brought everything back to the car and went back to the office. The woman at the desk seemed a little surprised. We told her about the room and she gave us another key. This room was clean, but the television didn't work. We had a choice: picture and no sound or sound and no picture. FAIL We were finally put in a 3rd room. As we were checking it out, I noticed no one had flushed the toilet, it was filled with brown water. GROSS. I flushed and noticed that was the color of the water. Well how nasty is that? At least the beds were clean in this room although the room itself had an odd musty smell? I suspect they used to allow smoking iin this room or else the last person or maybe even the cleaning person smoked in there, judging from the cigarette stains/burns on the counter top. The next part that just about put us over the edge was the "free wi-fi service". Of course its free, it doesn't work very well. We tried several times to get online with the desk person having to "reboot" the system. On the second day of our visit, the desk clerk actually gave us the number for Skyhigh Tech Suport. 1-877-275-9444 so we could tell them about the problem. Okay, isnt' this THEIR internet service??? Shouldn't THEY be the one calling tech support. So after my husband calls tech support and explains he is a guest at the hotel....weird. We finally get internet service after about 1/2 hour of fumbling around. 2 towels and 2 washclothes in the bathroom (no bathmat) and 1 of those small bars of soap. (glad we bring our own soap and shampoo) And the continental breakfast was very poor. Frozen waffles sitting out at room temp for the toaster, english muffins, bread, small hard apples, yogurt and cereal. The gallon of milk was actually sitting out on the counter, room temperature. The coffee was good. Oh! That makes 2 good things about this visit. We don't have anything against Super 8 in general, as we stay in them all the time while traveling. But you can believe we will NOT be staying in this one again and we will do everything we can to make sure our friends and family don't stay here either.
