Great AAA rate, clean hotel in a good location. Very conveniently located off of I-20 would recommmend and would stay here again.

We were searching for a pet friendly hotel on our drive home. We knew that the pet fee was $25 when we called, but the rate was so good that we opted to stay anyway. And, it was the right decision! Sheirella checked us in and she was so very nice. It had been a very long day. The first room had a musty smell, and when I went back to mention it, she immediately put us in another room that was much better. This property is located next to the Shreveport airport and we were afraid it would be noisy, but it wasn't. It is far enough from the interstate that it was not a problem either.

After driving for so many days, my husband did not want to go far for dinner, but really wanted to have Cajun since we were in the area. Sheirella told us that there was an excellent restaurant just a few blocks away and she was so right! We were so pleased that we took her something back too!

They do have a full kitchen if you enjoy preparing your own food. There is also a "pantry" in the lobby if do not feel like leaving the property. There is also a gym for people who may be living there while working in the area.

I found a $10 off coupon on the internet, so be sure to check it out before you get there!

We recently stayed at the Candlewood in Shreveport and found it to be much like home. Staff greeted us every morning and evening as if were family. Very pleasant! We were there for about two weeks. Onsite laundry was great along with the fitness equip. It was also to be upgraded to a suite. Plenty of room.

I have stayed at the Candlewood Suites in Shreveport three or four times over the past 2-3 years, while visiting family in the area. The hotel is conveniently located, just off the I20 freeway and near the airport - but noise from either is NOT a problem.
The rooms are a good size and have a kitchenette facility with microwave, cooking rings, fridge, dishwasher and coffee maker (there is also free coffee in the lobby area). There is a desk to work at and a big chair to relax in. The hotel is clean and although the rooms are only serviced once a week, you can exchange the towels for fresh ones whenever you need more.
Overall this is a good basic hotel and excellent value for money - I have already booked to stay again when I visit my family next year.
