We arrived late and didn't get to stay long in the morning so our experience is limited, and some of the less than positive things we experienced may have been because of our schedule.
The website talks about 3 different kinds of breakfasts, but we weren't really offered any of them. Instead we were left a tray of pastries in the refrigerator (with instructions on how to warm them up in the microwave), some juice, milk, and sodas, and shown where the coffee pot was and told we could just turn it on whenever we got up.
The room itself was very nice. We got the Empire Suite and basically had half the downstairs of an old house to ourselves. We had a nice canopy bed, a private bath with a shower (unless you are taller than 5 feet, in which case it is closer to a bidet - just kidding but it is pretty short. I'm 5'11" and the shower hit me across my chest). We also had a living room with a small TV and DVD player and access to hundreds of movies, and full access to the kitchen. The only bad thing about the living room is that there was no way for a couple to really sit "together" on anything. There were separate reclining chairs - but no couch. So don't count on any romance in the living room. Overall the rooms were nice and very quiet especially considering we had another couple just across the hallway. The bedroom maintained its temperature nicely, and we slept well.
The people who owned the place were very nice and check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The personal welcome on the table in the living room was a nice touch.
