We have a dog. I always look for hotels on the web that say pets allowed. It so happens on this trip our dog got hurt so we left her with family in Tyler on the way to Ruston from Austin. We got to the hotel and it said ABSOLUTELY no pets!!! What if we would have had our dog?? The web said pets allowed.
Delux continental breakfast was advertised. I look for that because I have a teenager who loves breakfast. We had a ball game to be at at 9:00 AM so it is nice to have a hot breakfast at the hotel before going to the game instead of going to a restaurant. We went into the lobby and there was juice, mini muffins, little cinammon rolls, hard boiled eggs and cream of wheat or grits. (not sure which one) Delux to us means at least toast, or waffles you can put in a toaster, more than muffins and juice! There wasn't even cereal and milk! There were no tables and chairs so we sat on the couch. The lady at the counter came over and told us we could not sit on the furniture to eat. My husband asked where we were supposed to eat. She said in the rooms, that's why they provide trays. No signs, no mention of that at check in... We had already cleared out our room and were ready to eat and leave for the game!! This was very frustrating!
Sept. 11 it was 90+ degrees and the pool was closed for the season!! Had water in it, looked beautiful but we could not swim. The web did not say "seasonal" when they listed pool.
I think it's important that people keep up with websites. If there are changes make sure they get made on websites. I will not go to a chain where I can't trust that what they say is really what I'm going to get. I will not go to another Best Western.
