I got this hotel on a combined deal from Travelocity.com (hotel+car).
As it was the one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest in the list, I was very guarded as to what I was walking in to.
On my stay, most of the tenants looked to be transient contract workers, mostly roofers. I got a pretty good rate, according to the evening clerk when I checked in. The rate on the door is $48.95 and I got a rate just over $31/night.
It isn't a 5 star hotel, so I would think that people would judge as it is. It has a definite purpose in the industry and I think it does it decent enough.
The two chairs in my room were pretty badly stained and unsafe to sit on, so I didn't.
For the most part the room was clean. I did find a cobweb on a lampshade. I would hope that they would clean that before the next visitor gets this room.
The grounds appeared clean to me.
This place has been quiet since my arrival, and I can attest there are definitely worse places to stay in the Baton Rouge area that are more expensive.
On a plus, there are three casinos within a quarter mile of this place.
