Had to be moved because of strong chemical smell in room. Moved to another room and the bathroom had a loose toilet seat, rusty hinges, and a rusty shower curtain. There was also no bath mat for shower so used I used a towel so I wouldn't slip and fall in the shower. The desk chair had a large stain on the top of it. HBO guide was in the room but no HBO was available. Maybe it was in case you lost your guide at home you could take theirs. Good things about the place were the staff was friendly, coffee was good, and beds were comfortable.

My husband, son and I stayed at Comfort Suites in September of 2003.
The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable, great television and selection of channels, and we were pleased with everything except for the lack of service. When we checked in, I requested a portable crib, and was told that they were out but may have one available around 6:00 p.m. and that the desk clerk would call and let us know for sure at that time. When we returned from dinner at 8:00 p.m., no one had called. I checked with the front desk again and he said he would check on it and get back to me. At 9:30 p.m., I called AGAIN and finally they said that they had one and to to come down and get it. We had the same problem with getting some towels, since they only provided enough for one person. Other than that, the experience was fine.

We went to Port Allen, LA and took the rating from your web site and staied at Holiday Inn Express. We didn't like it. It was not what I thought a four star should be. We checked out and went down to Comfort suite and was 100% better. The rooms were cleaner, beds were so much better and looked alot newer. The rate was only nine dollars more but for that we got so much more. Please check the hotel out and see if you would rate it a four star. The lobby at Holiday Inn Express was pretty and clean but the rooms are not. And most people want a nice clean room. Thank You Mary Hammonds
