“Top notch service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 February 2010

I just recently returned from Iraq and wanted a spur of the moment wedding. The owner took it upon himself to make it happen. The service was incredible and it made my wife so happy. The personal touch that this place has make it so much better, the breakfast was incredible and the service unmatched. I recommend this place to anybody thinking about it. If you are thinking, just go ahead and make the reservation, it will be worth your time.

“Loved it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 May 2009

The host was Tony and he was great. He wasn't around all of the time, but he always answered the phone. The food was great. The hospitality was great. Itt was so comfortable I didn't want to leave. The jacuzzi was large and great. That was my first time in a bed and breakfast. I will go again, and probably stay at the Queen Anne again.

“Unfortunately Did Not Live Up To Its Reputation”

The Queen Anne is a magnificent Victorian house which is located a short walk from the historic district. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and well-appointed -- except that we woke up cold during the night & couldn't find any blankets anywhere. The rooms do not have individual thermostats & the house is unhosted except at breakfast. So we spent a very chilly night.

The two-course breakfast was well-cooked & attractively presented; the only flaw was that both the coffee and the food were cold.

We had been looking forward to meeting Charles, the legendary innkeeper, but he has apparently been replaced by Pam, who appeared to be new to the hospitality profession and who seemed to apologize quite a lot. In the future, I think we would be most likely to stay at one of the many other lovely B&B's in the area.

“City of lights”

We stayed in this town on our way home from touring part of the south. We had heard the town was quaint and interesting. We were there the first week end of the Christmas Lights, so we booked a place later than we should have. Fortunately, there was a cancellation so that we could stay one night at this bed and breakfast. It was the fourth B&B we had stayed in that month, and we enjoyed it as much as the other places. We arrived in the evening. They had given instructions on how to get in and which room we had. Although we were on the first floor, next to the living room, it was quiet and comfortable. The room was equipped for our personal comfort. We chose a restaurant from their notebook with restaurant information. Our room was great, and the breakfast was excellent. The chef served us (many courses). Breakfast was served at one time, so we had opportunity to meet and chat with other guests.

“Wonderful Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2008

My wife and I needed a brief excape from the daily grind. So with a somewhat negative outlook on things, brought about by some unpleasant stays at other B&B's we booked a stay at the Queen Anne B&B.
I am very happy to report that our stay at the Queen Anne was not only a wonderful experience, but an enlightening one as well. It very much "raised the bar" in terms of standards that can be achieved and should be expected. I felt as though I was staying in someone's home. A home that pride of ownership shown throughout. The staff was available when needed and invisable when not.
I look forward to a return visit.
