As a solo traveller, and with reports of New Orleans not always being the safest tourist destination, I was happy to spend a bit more money on a hotel in a good area. I felt quite safe here although I often think it ill-advised to stick a solo traveller right at the end of a 'corridor' on the ground floor.
However, the room was excellent and VERY comfortable. The walls were a little thin and noise from next door could be heard but wasn't at an unacceptable level.
My only real niggle with this hotel was the fact that I couldn't get a wi-fi signal in my room (at the far end of the hotel!) There were multiple wifi signals available once outside my room but not once inside. This was really quite annoying. Maybe something the management could fix for future guests.
Breakfast was good in the morning and staff were friendly.
I travelled a few miles away for dinner at Zeke's - I can thoroughly recommend that restaurant if you have a car and can travel.
