Loved the Thursday evening gumbo and salad dinner along with complimentary beer and wine. Nice treat which was appreciated by guests. Breakfasts were outstanding - best I've ever had in a motel/hotel. Room was pretty standard for RI, no complaints. The facility had heated pool and hot tub along with plenty of parking. The area felt safe, and I did not notice any highway noise from the nearby interstate.

We had a car and didn't want to pay the high prices to stay right in New Orleans, so took a chance and stayed in Metairie. What a wise choice! New Orleans is close and the airport is close, like 10 minutes away or so. We has a 2-bedroom unit so 5 of us could stay in one room which is hard to find for a good price. The bedrooms and kitchen were very nice with contemporary decor. We would definitely go back. The pool was great and so was the breakfast. Highly recommend!

My last trip to New Orleans I stayed at the Residence Inn New Orleans Metairie and was pleasantly surprised.
The rooms were very cozy and had a great layout as well as nice looking furniture.
I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning as well.
My only complaint is that the gym had its lights on a timer system where the would turn off if you were in the gym for over an hour.
I'm an athlete and was hoping to train for 90 minutes each morning I was there but would have to break it up into a 60 and then 30 minute training session....
This was fine... but a little annoying as I was afraid the timer might shut the lights off while I was still on the machine causing it to be very dark in the room...
Other than that, no complaints for this hotel:-)

We stayed here for four night and it was a great place to stay. It is a short distance to New Orleans and eating places are nearby. There's a kitchenette in the room and a Winn Dixie not too far away if you want to buy food. The breakfast that they offer every morning was great. We ate there before we started sightseeing each day. It was very clean and the staff were all friendly. Definitely recommend.
