I don't know why people complain about this hotel because it is AWESOME. I would rank it right there with the Domaine des Hauts de Loire in Paris, albeit with a slightly inferior museum scene . If you have to go to LTP, this is your place. If I got booked at this place I would be thanking my Brigade staff every day.

Arbitrary rules. "No Travel Mugs". You can't bring a travel mug into the breakfast room. I was told that if everyone brought them in they'd drink all the coffee. I feel if that's true then they didn't make enough coffee. They offered to fill my travel mug on my way out but I couldn't drink from it while eating breakfast. I don't like the taste of coffee from a styrofoam cup. It would have saved them the cost of a cup, saved the environment from having to absorb one more styrofoam cup. The man overseeing the breakfast was loud and rude to me to the point where I thought there was going to be a fight. I've never been talked to like that in a hotel or store by wait staff. The toilet in my room had a fungal ring around the water level. The wireless internet was excellent.

The room was horrible. There was sticky stufff all over the carpet, One wall was dirty and banged up from the door, one wall had crayon markings and studd spilt on it. The ceiling was stained and cracked. Another wall was cracked. The spreads were stained. The shower walls were the worse i have even seen. WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.

The room served its purpose. The mattress was good. I have stayed here a couple of times and each room is different. The room cleanliness depends on which maid you get. I stayed in Sept 09 and the room was dirty and the mattress was terrible, this time the mattress was good and the room was clean. The real plus to the whole place is the restaurant and lounge. Not much more to chose from in Leesville. This is where I will stay everytime I come to Leesville.
