I stayed here in May 2011 and was not that impressed. We were there an entire month and over the course of our time there we had high points and low points. The staff were nice enough, but all the desk attendants seemed to be military wives and were not that familiar with the area. Their recommendations for places to eat, shop, etc. were sketchy at best. The cleaning service was the worst part. Some days we wouldn't get towels when we left our piled on the floor like the hotel requests. Other days, our trash would never get emptied. Even worse, we had a three day period where our room never got cleaned at all. At $120 per night, over the course of a month, I would expect better service than that.

Thank you for your constructive response. I just wanted to follow up with you and to let you know what we have improved since your stay. We take great pride in our hotel and are certainly less than happy that you were not provided with a stay that exceeded your every expectation. We absolutely agree with you that you SHOULD have received much better service, even if you had only stayed one night.
First, all of our guest service agents have undergone extensive retraining to familiarize themselves with the area and the local fare. Each agent was required to sample everything that Leesville and Fort Polk have to offer. They have become "experts" and are ready to answer any question thrown their with, not only with confidence, but experience.
Second, everyone of our housekeeping staff has been replaced. As I mentioned previously, we DO take great pride in our hotel and expect a lot out of our employees. Each new housekeeper has undergone Holiday Inn Express certified training. We've also implemented a new insepction policy that keeps management aware of the housekeepers strengths and weaknesses.
I hope that you come to our area again and allow us the opportunity to turn your negative stay into a positive one. It is comments like yours that let us know exactly where we are lacking and jolts us into action. Again, I apologize your stay was less than spectacular. Give us a call and we will make it right.
