“Good for the money”

We usually try and stay at a Drury Hotel anytime we travel if we can. We stayed at the Pear Tree this trip because it is owned by Drury and had about the same amenities and it was about $20 a night cheaper. It's a nice hotel for the price. The hot breakfast was good. They only had wine and beer for evening cocktails. The popcorn was supposed to be available from 3-10 but they didn't start popping it until after 5. Our rooms were not ready when we checked in and when we opened one of our rooms, it hadn't been cleaned yet, so they had to switch my daughters to another room. It was handled swiftly and they were very friendly, but I think I will stay at the Drury next door for $20 extra a night next time.

“Clean, Comfortable Room”

My husband and I stayed at the Pear Treen in on the night of October 22, 2011 after the LSU game. If was very clean, comfortable and had a good shower. We did not make it for the free drinks and popcorn that evening but that is a little something extra that they offer which is nice. Also, check out is at 11:00 instead of 10 or 10:30 like most hotels require and you can request an extra hour with no problem. Cracker Barrell is right next door which is convenient for a great breakfast! We will stay at the Pear Tree again if we are in Lafayette. We felt like it was a great value!

“OK for some quick ZZZZZs”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

Spent the night there on Friday night before the Florida/LSU football game in Baton Rouge. Lafayette is on the way from Katy and the rooms were about half the cost than those in BR on game weekends.

This is an OK place.

The TV is old and not very good and there were not many channels. But, I was literally there to sleep and shower.

The beds were OK, nothing special, nothing fancy.

There is a hot breakfast in the AM that makes the cost well worth it.

The hotel is RIGHT next to the interstate, and you can hear the cars, so if you're a light sleeper (I am not) you might look elsewhere.

There is a sister hotel, Drury Inn, right next door. Stayed there a few years back, a littler nicer a little more expensive.

“Very well worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011 via mobile

We had a very great stay even thou our trip was ruined due to tropical storm Lee! The staff was very informative of the storm each morning at breakfast! Loved the FREE fountain soda! Rooms were clean and comfortable! Loved the shower! We didn't get to use the pool due to the storm but what we could see of it, it looked nice! Thanks pear tree!

“Greatly Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2011

Having read reviews and having never stayed at this are any other Drury property we thought we would give it a try. BAD IDEAL. During check in the desk clerk moved so slowly that I thought I wouild never get checked in. We were directed by the same clerk to enter through a side door, for that wouild put us closer to our room. Well, upon entering through the side door, we encountered three (3) house cleaning cart, so close to the entry door that we had to side-step the carts in order to get ourselves and luggage past the carts. Finally getting to the room we found the carpet to be old, stained and worn. The TV came off Noah's Ark.
Will not stay in this flea bag motel again.
