After blindly booking this hotel on Hotwire, we began reading the posts from the last week or so. We were terrified!!!!! We discussed purchasing another room at another hotel and just forfeiting the money on this room. Instead, we decided to give it a chance, so we read on the internet about how to check a room for bugs. When we pulled into the hotel last night, we were so pleased to see a nice looking building and well-lit parking lot. We didn't take our luggage when we registered, for fear we would not be staying or would contaminate it. The gentleman behind the desk assigned us a room on the third floor. Oh, no!!! These are the ones that someone said were trashed by college students! You can imagine our surprise and relief when we opened the door to our room and saw a really nice room! The room was large with a king bed, flat screen tv, table and chairs (old, but clean), and desk area. We proceeded to "strip" the bed and were pleased to find a new-looking mattress, a new mattress pad, and all of the bedding was crisp and clean. No signs of any type of infestation! There was a wet bar area outside of the bathroom and a large closet. The wet bar had a fridge and coffee maker and everything was clean. The bathroom vanity had a huge countertop to lay things on, there was a secure toilet seat with a lid, the amenities were laid out and were generous amounts, the towels were clean and hung neatly, and the floor and tub were clean (a small amount of dark mold in the corner of the soap dish). Our only "complaints were: the doors to the room and to the bathroom did not open easily, the heater was loud, and we did hear some hall noise due to the elevator being across from our room. The elevator buttons and outer walls could use some touching up also. All in all, for the price we paid for our room, it was a great value. We would not hesitate booking here again. Our main requirements are: safety, cleanliness, and value. This hotel met all of them!

I had to switch rooms Three times..... First room smelled like Pee and carpets were just disgusting. Second room had ants. Which were all over. After moving rooms I ended up with ants on my things.(Yuk) Third room was my last room was ok but by that time I just wanted to get out of the hotel. I had other reservations the next day and was out by 8am. The staff was friendly and did help with the problems. But really this hotel needs a update horribly. You can tell they did some things to change but its not enough. Carpets need ripped up through out! Also walking in the side door the whole building had an smell. Just wouldn't recommend it at all.

My room wasnt ready when I arrived (6pm), there was no breakfast the first morning because the delivery person was aver an hour late, and I woke up the 2nd morning COVERED in bedbug bites. Even worse, I never got one apology or any attempt to do something to make up for the bedbug problem. When I spoke to the Front desk face to face and expressed my disappointment that I never got even an apology for what happened, they STILL did not apologize and just made excuses. After I turned and was almost out the door I heard a sarcastic "Sorry." Insulting. Don't stay here if you care at all about service or not being eaten by bugs. Ugh.

The sleep was good and the amenities were acceptable however the bathroom was less than acceptable. The toliet seat was loose and the towels had staining. Optically this made me nervous using the towels/shower/toilet.

I rank cleanliness as poor as the bathroom looked dirty.
