“Comfortable rooms, some issues”

First impression was not great, long wait at airport for van, found out they have two vans but only one driver. Check in was good, very friendly, room was very nice but the a/c and heating unit squeeled so much that I had to shut it off to sleep. I did have to get up early and found there to be no hot water, when I mentioned this to front desk they said they knew that the hot water recirc system was down in that side of the hotel and that they had the parts but had not yet installed them. Begs the question why they did not tell me that I would have to run hot water in the morning for 15 minutes to get any, or better yet, puit me on other side of hotel. I have no idea how full they were. Food seemed good, slightly expensive at $12 for a burger though.

First of all I must say that it's great to get feedback like this which allows us to constantly improve upon what we do. I'm happy to report that we recently completed a major hot water boiler repair which has resolved any previous problems that we had with hot water. The Hotel was recently renovated and looks terrific. Our service scores are among the best of the brand and we intend to keep them that way. “Excellent Hotel”

The service at this hotel was great. They made check-in fast and explained everything I needed. The parking is bad. You must park out back which is an easy spot to be robbed so look around when you get out of your car...just saying. The elevators are slow but the rooms are very nice and quiet. Close to the airport and the gas station is right next door. Avoid the cookies at welcome if you are allergic to nuts! They should warn people of that and/or eliminate the nuts. The breakfast is free to members...at least mine was free. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay high but expect slow elevator service....they need a third elevator.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us the feedback from your stay. I’m happy to report that we’ve recently completed a parking lot renovation and it is in much better condition. We’ve also installed new lighting which has improved that area as well. As large as our parking lot is, we’ve had very few incidents and our overnight security patrols the lot frequently. I will share your comments with all of our management team in an effort to improve where we can and look forward to having you back again as our guests.

“Excellent Pre-Cruise Hotel”

We went 2 days early to get a break on the airfare and booked an excellent rate through Priceline. The desk staff was very helpful with plans for sightseeing, suggestions for local restaurants, etc. The rooms are all new as are most of the common areas. Very nicely furnished and comfortable. My wife is allergic to goose and duck feathers and we didn't realize until the middle of the 1st night that all of the bedding is feathers. The next day they changed out everything on both beds with no complaints. Although we only had breakfast there we found the restaurant very nice with great food. For the price you can't go wrong in NO.

“More good than bad.”

Had a nice stay here. Room was fine, even great with a sleep number bed, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee. Very clean and quiet. The only problem was that I tried to check in early, and it was a fiasco. I left, took care of my business, and returned about 7PM. The check-in then was fast, efficient and friendly. I will stay here again, but not try to check-in early.

“Excellent Value and Convenient”

Our room at the Doubletree was large, well-maintained, and clean. The hotel staff were all very friendly and accomodating to our needs. Wired Interent was accessed without trouble and free. The hotel is very close to several excellent dining options in the busy Kenner and Metairie suburbs, and is very close to the New Orleans Airport. It was an easy 15-20 minute drive to the French Quarter where parking was plentiful and inexpensive. Their room rates were less than half of the cost of staying at a comparable hotel in downtown New Orleans and represent an excellent choice for the value minded traveller.
