Stayed for a one week stay and enjoyed it very much.

It's a 5 minute drive from airport. They do offer an airport shuttle.

Rooms:

Very large, with comfortable beds. There was a fridge, microwave oven, coffee maker, iron and board, 2 small water bottles in fridge. I did get a communicating room, and had different neighbours throughout the week without ever being bother by them. Good noise isolation. The banging of the doors was a problem with guests, not the hotel. Too bad people don't realize they're not alone in the building. We did get during the week a free newspaper.

Amenities:

Free parking, free coffee, tea and hot chocolate in lobby all day and all night, free cooking in the afternoon. From Monday - Thursdays 6 pm-7pm there's a manager's special in the lobby like nachos and salsa with rosé wine. That's the only one we managed to see. The pool is nice with an interior and exterior section and a jacuzzi. The gym needs a lift. The treadmill was broken all week, the cycle had a loose pedal, but after asking they screwed it back tighter and the elliptical has seen better days. There is a weight machine too. The gym is open from 6 am till 10 pm like the pool.

Free hot breakfast:

Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Toast, bagels, english muffins, scones, muffins, danish, eggs as you wish, omelettes, waffles, bacon or sausage, a sauce for the scones I think, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, apples, bananas and oranges.

Free wifi in all rooms and also cable internet in rooms.

There are restaurants close by within walking distance like a Mcdonalds.

We booked on the internet directly through them for 6 nights. The last night, the price was 60$ more so we decided to change hotels. Before changing, we asked them for the price of that last night, and they charged us the same rate we had been paying. The service was great, the room very clean. I left my safe open one day with money, ipod and more inside, and everything was intact when I returned. Great honest staff.

We had rented a car at the airport and used it to get to the downtown area for our convention. In traffic, it was an easy 20 -25 minute drive. Since we used the parking at the convention center, we walked to the French quarter. We saved 25$ each by driving ourselves to a swamp tour.

I wouldn't hesitate at all to stay hear again.
