Upgraded to a King Suite and was able to lay out the thirty books and printer I used to study for my US Coast Guard exam at Fletcher CC - Louisiana marine & Petroleum Institute. People very friendly. Felt like home and was able to accomplish what I needed.

Spent 2 nights in the attending a business trip to New Orleans. Room was ok and what was expected from reading other reviews. Its so humid they have dehumidifiers in all of the rooms that the staff empties daily. The breezeway has a musty smell from the humidity. Great staff though! Very helpful in finding me a place to get a haircut! Next door is a restaraunt called Copelands! Highly reccomend! The bed was comfortable and the overall stay good.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel just this week. When I first walked into the building to check in, I stood at the front desk for five minutes waiting for someone. Apparently, from what I could overhear, relationship issues of staff members are more important than actually being able to check-in guests. Eventually, we were checked-in. The rest of our stay included getting stuck in an elevator, having to worry about the safety of our vehicle, and then not getting breakfast in the morning. The complimentary hot breakfast with Jimmy Dean sausage bicuits didn't happen. There was cereal, a couple of yogurts, and one corn dog available at around 7 a.m. Then, the best part...my card was double-charged and when I called about getting it fixed, the woman on the phone was less-than-pleased with the fact she might actually have to do something. Then, when I said "thank you"...she hung up. Don't waste your time. The new La Quinta a little further down the road is great.

The hotel could use a remodel when comparing it to the other Marriotts. However the staff is very friendly and the rooms were very clean and compatible to the price paid. The breakfast attendant is very nice and attentive to the guests, which I like. The pool was closed the first few days we stayed however the issue was resolved and I have no other complaints. The hotel location is perfect to large variety of retail stores and restaurants!
