We were on the 2nd floor, the trash under the stairway was not picked up all weekend - and it STUNK. The beds were marginal at best. The room A/C was noisy. Cleanliness was not on this hotels priority list. Unfortunately, we were there during the Voice of the Wetlands Music Festival and couldn't find accomodations anywhere else. We've already booked a different hotel for this years music festival.

IT is a nightmare! Read this review and go back to your search engine for another look at somewhere else. Rude staff in particular the manager. I had a Do Not Disturnb sign on until 11:30. Turns out if you have it on past 11am they just dont clean the room at all. Now thats fine so long as you play fair and tell it somewhere. Anywhere, small print, anything! But no its a big con so the staff can be lazy.

All I wanted was towels but no I get threats of the police being called to evict me for a deranged manager clearly unable to deal with a customer unhappy. This lady thinks she is Gods gift to man and hotel management but boy is she wrong.

I could moan for weeks about the damp the grumpy staff the housekeeping being poor and the nutty manager but suffice to say.................. just dont come here.

The hotel was very clean was not sure to stay due to previous email, however I agree with the 1st review . The people were friendly and sweet and the hotel was not difficult to find. I think the person who wrote the review was wrong, looking at her previous stays 7 no one could satisfy them.

There was one positive review of this place on Tripadvisor
(which I niow believe to be fake), and it gave the impression
of being new-ish, so we decided to risk it. Big mistake. Lady
at checkin barely acknowledged us, elevator was filthy,
carpet in hallway stained. The room itself was marginally
better, but hadnt been cleaned properly in ages: dust everywhere.
Breakfast was minimal --it was served from 4.30am for some
reason... Why? For the resident vampires??? (it was a Saturday
morning, by the way). Avoid at all costs. We actually paid $99
for this dump. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere (in fact,
it's a good idea to avoid Houma anyway, unless you absolutely
have to be there. Oh, and the hotel is very hard to find too (which
it had been even harder to find though). We're on a 4-week tour
of the US, and this was the worst experience by far. The only bright
side is we weren't bitten by bedbugs...
