Maintains Hampton's impressive standard - nice welcome, fine room. It's a slightly older property so the rooms seem a little dated, but this isn't a deal-breaker. Hot breakfast very popular... especially with the local PD, apparently!

We arrived at the Inn after an invloved trip. At check-in every thing was taken care of very quickly. We were given a fist floor room which was fine. We're finishing a six week drivimg trip and this was a good night. There were a group of students from Alabama State Univ. also in the hotel. We saw them but never heard them which is unusual for college students at the start of a year. The hotel has an outside pool which several used. It had a small but well equiped fitness center. The room was a good size with a king size bed, work desk, side chair and desk chair, medium refrigerator and small microwave. The bed provided a good night's sleep. The bathroom counter had room for our toiletries and provided good hot water. The cold was relatively warm. The morning breakfast was the usual with cereals, waffles, eggs, etc There were two very attentive attendants who kept the food stocked and helped people with their needs. It was a very good overnight stay.

I have stopped in Hammond, La. on several occasions, driving from Florida west. I have stayed at several hotels in that area, but the Hampton Inn is the best. In fact, we plan to stay there again soon.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and the breakfast items were great. In general, Hampton Inns have a higher quality breakfast than other brands, but this one was far above everyone, including other Hampton Inns. The breakfast staff was very friendly, even offering to prepare waffles. They brought in fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts and were extremely helpful. The buffet included sausage patties and scrambled eggs.

For dinner, there is a Cracker Barrel only a few hundred feet away and this hotel is a short distance from the Interstate Highway. This hotel is on the I-10 bypass but about an hour's drive to New Orleans.

Looking for a nice hotel along our route that would be clean and easy access and found it here.. The girl at the front desk was so nice and the hotel was clean and attractive. The room was large and quiet. I didn't use the outdoor pool but it was attractive and warm and they had music piped outside that was a mix of old rock and roll and blues and jazz. This hotel met all of my expectations for a passing through stay.
