This is absolutely the worst hotel that I've stayed in in all of my life! First of all we were misled on the size of the beds, and I could have gotten past that along with the 9 inch TV from 1988 but when I walked into the bathroom and saw dead insects and rat droppings...I was outdone! They changed our room after much attitude and telling us tthat if we tried to check out we would lose our entire deposit, so they checked us into another room that smelled like smoke and mildew (well the whole floor did). The room was a tad better but the towels in the bathroom were threadbare and had several holes in them and were dingy(sp) and yellow.
To add insult to injury the staff was EXTREMELY unprofessional and poorly trained. We had an incident at the hotel where certain staff at the front desk were giving out our room number like candy and told us that there was someone in our room but couldn't tell us who...that story is much to long to go into. But it ended with the lady at the front desks boyfriend who didn't work there getting out of his bed to come to the hotel and coming to our room to confront us.....NO SERIOUSLY!
In conclusion I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. It isdangerous poorly managed, poorly run and oh yeah the exterior looks like something out of an iraqi war zone. The dead palm trees should have tipped us off. Stay anyplace but here you will be sorely dissapointed and angry if you stay at the LaQuinta Inn in Crowley Louisisana !

I stayed for one night on business as there were few other chain hotels in town.

The room was somewhat updated, featuring granite countertops in the bath. However, there was visible mold around the window frame, and the window was so dirty that it was difficult to see through it.

The carpet needed steam cleaning in a very bad way, and we believe that some mystery stains were probably from pets that had stayed in our room previously.

The hallway and lobby floors are not carpeted but rather tiled; other guests walking by with suitcases made a great deal of noise early in the morning before we woke.

What was most upsetting was that a large group demolished breakfast right before us, and the hotel did not replenish anything for other guests.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, comfortable and very well maintained. Looking forward to my next visit to Crowley. This is the place to stay in Crowley areaQ

We requested a smoke free room and we did get that but the smoke was so thick out in the hallway that it was coming in under our door....it was horrible especially the next morning. We could hardly breathe! I've been in bars that were less smokey. The other thing was the noise! Doors slamming and people hollering in the hallways all through the night. Didn't get any sleep. The front desk acted like you were disturbing them when checking in. Also, my husband and I were going out to dinner that evening and a lady stormed to the front desk and said someone had stolen all her expensive jewelry. I do recommend the restaurant Fezzos which is right down the street....very good seafood.
