On a positive note, God love LaQunita for accepting pets. This is so important to military families that have to travel. At least they can depend on LaQuinta to over-night without a hassle. LaQunita has my utmost respect for that policy. I just hate giving this place a less than stellar review. But it is based upon the location and age of the hotel.....not the staff. Just needed a place to sleep during a road trip. Since we have great stays at the LaQuinta in VIcksburg, MS we gave this site a try. This is a very old LaQuinta. Our room was old, but was "updated" and clean enough - everything worked. It was okay for one night - I wouldn't want to spend my vacation there. The lady at the front desk was very nice and efficient - it took about 2 minutes to check in. All that did not make up for an outside entrance at the back of the building in a questionable part of town. I would not have been comfortable staying there alone and checking in at night. I usually have good experiences at LaQuintas......maybe I'm jaded by the really nice ones we have had the good fortune to find. Breakfast was served in another building, so that was not convenient.
