“Good stopping point”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011

If you are headed up or down I-10 this is a good spot to drop off and call it a night. It is literally right off of the highway. Not far from LSU and plenty of good restaurants including Acme Oyster (you are in LA after all) and Red Zepplin Pizza. There is a pool and it was warm and there is a hot tub but it was cold in August - Go figure. The beds are not the greatest but all and all its a good deal with a nice hotel w free internet and coffee and business area. Check out Priceline they usually have a deal here.

Room Tip: There is free coffee and free internet, they also sell Starbucks if you like paying for it...

“No complaints - nice, clean stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011

My mom, sister and I came here for a weekend getaway and really enjoyed this hotel. The location is not the best (lots of traffic) but it is in close proximity to Perkins Rowe, which is a great place to go for movies, shopping and eating. The rooms were spacious with tall ceilings that we loved. Very comfortable beds and the standard shower and bathroom. They have an indoor pool and hot tub which was nice, but for some reason the hot tub didn't have the bubbles so it was more just like warm water. Overall, though, nice stay and I'd return.

“I always go back to this hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

For the last 3 or 4 years I have been staying at this Courtyard whenever I travel to Baton Rouge. I travel at least twice every year to this area. The staff is nice, always greet me with a smile and the stay is almost always hassle-free. The rooms are no different from every other Courtyard (they are identical at every location I have ever been to both within the US and outside).

The location itself is also convenient being located in a mall. There are several places to eat within walking distance (Chilis, Texas Roadhouse among others) although I have eaten only at Chilis. Walmart is located within the same complex, as is a movie theater and even a Lowe's to spend time when there is nothing else to do.

The only time I had a problem at this hotel was when I did not get my wake up call 2 days in a row. After complaining to the manager, I was gifted with Marriott Rewards points.

“RECENTLY REMODELED and NO Pets ALLOWED!YEAH”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 March 2011

We had several hotels chosen that were closer to the family plans for a funeral. We had briefly used this website to get information. I was so concerned with location, that I didnt look at pets allowed. We both have severe allergies. Upon arriving at the first hotel, which was brand new, I just asked If they were non smoking and allowed pets. They informed me that they were non smoking but could not guarantee if there was pet hair in the room because they are "pet friendly". We drove around for several more exits, stopping at 4 other locations and finally found this hotel that did not allow pets. Their Residence Inn sits in the same parking lot and does allow pets. We were so thrilled with the updated decor and cleanliness. The room was very clean and recently remodeled. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The only negative was a small amount of damage next to tub where the shower curtain had been leaking. But that is rather normal.
It was late and we actually had several restaurants next to the location to grab a quick bite and catch the March Madness games.
We will be staying at this location again for football games in the Fall!

“No Internet service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2011

I see some other reviews about this.
Last year, the hotel had good internet service (in the spring anyways). Now, it is not usable at all.
I was told something about it being in the process of getting upgraded "last week" and that "some rooms" were having complaints. Of course, it was not disclosed prior to my hotel stay. They then claimed it was slow because of the backup running.

I've stayed at this hotel off and on for years. It is now blacklisted due to no working internet service. It is just too slow. Even at 2 am. Go somewhere else.
