This is an extended stay type hotel with a small but well laid out kitchenette. My room had a coffee maker, small refrigerator, two burners, sink and ample cabinets for storage. They even provide dishware, glasses, utensils and a pot and pan for cooking. The date of my stay isn't accurate, but it was the closest they made available. My mother and I were forced to find alternate shelter when a house fire made our home uninhabitable. When I called to inquire about Crossland's rates, they asked why we were traveling to Baton Rouge. Upon learning of our situation, these wonderful people went out of their way to help us out. We'd been there a couple of weeks when my mother had to be rushed to the emergency room. She ended up in ICU for a month, then, eventually, had to be placed in a nursing home. In the meantime, we were having no luck getting our home repaired. With everything happening at once, I ended up living at the hotel for just over a year. These wonderful people went far out of their way to help me through an unbelievably difficult time. I tell anyone and everyone that, should they know anyone in need of a hotel, this is THE place to stay in Baton Rouge. During the time I lived there, we had a really bad hurricane and even snow that shut down the city for a day. The manager and staff handled these disasters without missing a beat! To this day, I think of them constantly and remember them in my prayers. While their high speed internet isn't free, the cost is so low that it may as well be. Also, if you are going to be there for an extended period, you only pay a certain length of time, then it is free afterwards.

second review of this place: ended up getting bedbugs during and after our stay.
not sure how, but after staying there two weeks, i ended up with bedbugs. could have been from the laundrymat, or the room itself.
here it is, six months later, and i'm still fighting these damn bugs that have spread to my truck, i think, my clothes, my living area. have tried numerous treatments, but still getting bit.

An expert and sensitive staff make your stay experience really great. I would make them my hotel of choice in Baton Rouge.

My husband recently stayed at Crossland Economy Studios in Baton Rouge, La. and I have to say, it was a wonderful expirence!! My husband is a supervisor for the company that he works for and they build mall stores from framing to final finish and the job requires that we stay in motels for 4-8 weeks at a time. We spend 300+ days a year away from home, so we need to be able to feel "at home" in the motel, and that's just what we had @ Crossland Economy Studios, Baton Rouge. From the moment we walked into the office, we knew this was going to be a nice place to reside, but we had no idea what a GREAT motel this would be. The office staff is so kind and helpful. They greet you a warm smile and kind words and they make a personal effort to see that your every need is satisfied. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable, and the towels and bed linens are clean and SOFT, that's a comfort that is hard ti find in a motel theese days. The kitchenettes and well equiped and very functional. The housekeepers and maintance staff are so friendly, and will go out of their way to clean, fix or replace anything that might need attention in your room, quickly and with a smile. The motel is conviently located to several eating establishments that are walking distance including a Chuck E Cheese and Jack in the Box. The grocery stores are close by and there is a pharmacy that is within walking distance,too. There is a laundry facility on the property for the guests that is always clean and well maintained and its affordable,too !! The property grounds are very pretty and the parking area is large and well lit. They have security on duty at night and if you have any problems {like noisy neighbors} just call the office and the security officer will take care of it. We parked our equipment trailor loaded with material and tools and never worried about whether or not it would still be there the next morning, because of the security. The management staff are very kind, and they take your happiness, personally..At one point of our stay, we had 9 rooms for our workers and even brought somes of the other workers from the motel they were at to Crossland Economy Studios. The rates are great!

I have never written a review for any other motel that we have stayed at, and we have been staying in motels for over 13 years, but Crossland Economy Studios took such good care of us, I felt like I should tell everyone that is in Baton Rouge or planning a trip that will take you through Baton Rouge that this is "The Place" to stay.
