“Nasty hotel nasty people”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Not only did the receptionists attitude stink but so did the room, her customer service skills were extremely poor despite the hotels creed: "Treat Each Guest as You Would Like to be Treated"! This obviously is not the case but rather the opposite. It was supposed to be a non smoking room of which stank of stale smoke. Internet should have been free and was included in my booking itinerary also listed under 'room amenities'. The rooms are very basic and drab, no proper bed linen just a bottom sheet and a very old quilt and no bed sheets, the shower tray was filthy and had pink bacteria growing. After complaining the next morning I was told it would be looked into, unfortunately I had booked this room for 2 nights, when I got back that evening the room was untouched, towels not changed etc. There were undesirable people swearing, shouting, and smoking outside the rooms on the balcony. This hotel is the worst place I have stayed at. Plenty of other nicer hotels in the area to stay rather than this one!

“lousy internet connection”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

If internet is important to you, skip this hotel. It is really terrible and they just dont seem to care about it. I am actually on a local connection now to write this review as it was taking over 10 mins to load this page otherwise. Other than that, this place is ok sort of. Plenty of crack hoes staying here to satisfy your basic needs. You can get a quicky by going to room 339 early enough in the day before she goes out and starts hitting her easy marks for money for her goodies. Of course the front desk knows about this so no problem there. There are at least 3-4 more of these lovely ladies staying here to take care of your "needs" but i dont know thier room numbers. bear in mind that once you use the "service" you will be hounded to death every week around payday to reuse the service even tho you might be sleeping.

Room Tip: try to get a room with an internet repeater in it so that at least you wont unplug it as the day man...

“Very nasty hotel don't stay.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

Please don't ever stay at this hotel while in Baton Rouge. We arrived at the hotel 9/15/11 to check in time was 3:00 which is what time we got there. We were told then that our room wasn't ready to come back. We came back 30 minutes later and was allowed to check in. When we went to the room it had a very nasty smell even though they said they had just cleaned in. We checked the bed to make sure everything was really clean Not. The pillow cases were dirty and still had hair on them from whomever had stayed there before.

We only had 1 glass 2 plates and 1 bowl the silverware was dirty and should I say we only had one fork and one spoon. We asked if we could check out and get our money back and they gave us a hard time. Stayed the first night then the next day my husband went down to the lobby and told them there was no way we could stay the smell was back and room very uncomfortable. I guess if you pay for a cheap hotel you get one. He finally talked them into letting us check out and getting our money back for the two nights we didn't stay. They said corporate office would mail a check. Please don't waste your time booking this hotel you will be very dissappointed.

Room Tip: terrible room

My room was nice but could've been better however its not the staffs fault, I just feel it's time to upgrade Crossland.

“Beware The absolute Worst. A Nasty mess”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2011

I won this hotel on Priceline. Price line should be ashamed of themselves for even dealing with this hotel. When I arrived to check in at 12:00 midnight, no one was in the office to check me in. They had a phone box which said to call. When you called number it said to call, it stayed busy. So I called number listed in hotel sign. The lady who answered said that the night manager would be there in 10 minutes to check me in. A lady opened the office. She had on bed clothes and looked like she lives on the property, I was given my room number and key. When I arrived in the room, I was highly disappointed. The room was not a suite as promised. It was a single room. The bed was so nasty that I would not go near it. The furniture was old. Of course I went to another hotel that night. I feared for my health because of nastyness of room and I feared for my safety. All types of people were in the area. Later I was told by local residents that drugs and prostitutes goes on at this hotel. This hotel appears to be an extended stay where people live her. This hotel needs to be condenmed and shut down.

Room Tip: Rooms are very nasty.
