“Great location but a bad hotel!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2010

I normally do not write bad reviews but this hotel was pretty bad. Lets speak of the good first. The hotel is located directly beside I-10 so every part of Baton Rouge is close. The area in which the hotel is located is great. You have every restaurant you can think of near by, also a super Target, a number of bars, and 4 different coffee houses. Now to the hotel, the hotel is very dated. The rooms are worn and smell of mildew. The shower was bad, the carpet stained, and holes in the wall. The air conditioning was not good. Last and probably the most disturbing was escorts were in and out of there all the time, we seen at least 3 instances. If you are on a BIG budget stay here but if not try somewhere else.

“Beware: Worst Hotel Ever!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2010

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for one night, there's a reasson for the reasonable price. It was suppose to be a nonsmoking room but had burn holes in the sheets and comforter. The room smelled so bad we couldnt even eat with out wanting to vomit. There were prostitutes outside the rooms and people jus hanging around. i would never stay here ever again!!!!!

“Pleasanty Surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2009

After reading the reviews I was scared to book a room anywhere in Baton Rouge because basically all the hotels except the super expensive ones are rated horribly, and even some of those are rated horribly so i made my husband go by and check this one out, along with several others, before I booked since he is working there.

For the price of the room it was more than I expected, yes it could be nicer but it could cost a lot more too, it's in a wonderful location, we got a king room and it was clean, we have a toddler and that was our main concern, we could let him run around in the hotel room without being worried about him catching something. it had a working microwave and fridge, tv was fine, bed was comfy and they had tons of different pillows so you could get the one you like best. The bathroom is kind of in need of remodelling but it was CLEAN and there weren't holes or anything you could just tell it was old.

We were on the 2nd floor it was kinda inconvenient having to lug our stuff up and down stairs but not that big of an issue even with the baby. Our room was non smoking and thankfully (unlike some places) you didn't walk in to the smell of cigarette smoke. You could hear people talking as they walked by outside but not that many people were walking by and A LOT of people were there during our stay, the parking lot was packed, we didn't find it to be an issue, we noticed it but that was it.

For the price I would definitely stay there again.

“Great pillows”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2009

I stayed here on the way to a family reunion, and the one thing I remember best were the pillows. They've got big, plush pillows that I can fall asleep on immediately. The room was spacious and there's lots of restaurants nearby to choose from, plus there's a Super Target right next door. I had a good night's stay and would recommend this motel to friends.

“Great Service with Great Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2009

I don't know why everyone here is complaining about the place. You get what you paid for. If you want to be treated like a queen then go pay 200+ bucks somewhere else. Let's face it. This is a value and for what you get, I think it's more than what you should get.

Pros:
Great, friendly staff.
Provided breakfast (Given it's not the best, but you can't beat free)
Clean rooms (I didn't see anything gross or any bugs...)
Clean showers/ bathroom
Great Internet service (they even have computers up front for you to use)
Banquet room
I asked for extra towels and they gave them to me.
Corky's next door is pretty good as well. Convenient, hearty food.

Cons:
Yes, it could be a little noisy, but what do you expect, you're in a motel where your neighbors are less than 6 feet away and nothing in between you but a wall.
