“Convenient location and wonderful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

We went to Baton Rouge on busisness and also to do some shopping @ the mall. This hotel was very close to both and we were familiar with the Hyatt name and the quality behind it. Even though the hotel was an older one, it was very clean and designed to be very helpful and easy to get around. They gave a good discount due to a membership in a club and we were well pleased with all features offered. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: The lower floors are closer to all service so I would recommend that you stay close to the first flo...

“Very clean rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

Enjoyed our one night stay. Room was large and clean. The beds were only average. Free breakfast was nice and there were fancier items for sale. Next door to a seafood restaurant. Across the street from a very nice mall.

“A Hyatt place miss”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011 via mobile

Traveled with a group and had 6 rooms. Hotel and room layout was standard and predictable. Several in my group had housekeeping issues wi cleanliness. It was an embarrassment as I arranged the rooms. Won't stay in the hotel again. Also the morning lobby is not inviting and the breakfast setup is intimidating and to be avoided. Just an ok hotel, but a miss for a Hyatt.

“Not as nice as last visit.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Arrived on a Saturday evening to a lobby full of screaming kids. Desk staff was very nice and effecient. Kids were running and screaming everywhere. Not sure where their parents were. We were put on the 3rd floor which was very quiet. Room was big but sofa had white stains all over it. Was scared to sit on it. Bed linens seemed clean. Bathroom smelled like urine. I have stayed here several times in the past and this stay was just not as good as the past stays. Wonder if they have new management? Would probably not stay here again.

“Good reasonably priced hotel for Baton Rouge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

i actually had enough points to stay at the hotel for a couple nights while in town for a LSU footbal game. I would stay here even if I had to pay since it was a nice moderately priced hotel in the area. The AC in the first room did not work so we were moved to another one. Both rooms were spacious - the regular room had an L shaped couch and large ottoman. Both rooms had a good sized flat panel TV that could be seen from the bed and sitting areas. If the hotel is older as other reviews have mentioned, then they have done a good job "modernizing" it. They have a free breakfast in the morning and even a small bar open that is open until 10. The restaurant next door is Ralph and Kacoos - a mainstay of cajun cooking. Nice that it's just next door. Mall is across the street in case you forgot or need anything while traveling. it's not in the center of town, but it only took us about 10 minutes to get to the LSU Campus.
