After a long day of driving and armed with a Louisiana Visitor Center Coupon we ended up here for an evening. Unlike a previous report the clerk readily accepted the coupon. Some specifics:
Location. As mentioned before, the hotel is located on a long service road off of I-10. The landmark is the close by Cracker Barrel restaurant.
Room. Typical no frills Microtel. Small room with Ikea-like furniture mounted on the walls. Television is located on the top of a small closet. Microwave and small fridge too. Bed was clean and comfy. No issues. Bathroom was unusually large when compared to the rest of the room. Plenty of hot water. No condom wrappers or other discrepancies reported by other reviewers.
Amenities. Not many. There is a small business office and wireless internet. We did not use either. Breakfast? Did not see it. I made a trip to the car with some luggage and looked for the posted "continental breakfast" but saw nothing in and around the lobby at 7:30am. I opted not to ask as we were planning on eating a real breakfast further on down the road.
Overall, this is a stop-over hotel. Not a destination. No frills room. Nothing more and nothing less. I would not pay more than the discount coupon rate of $49.
