I stayed at this property a few years ago, and came back again primarily because of the large suites with full living room and full kitchen including an oven. Staff at the front desk and breakfast are great, they definitely have a customer service focus. Rooms are comfortable and large. Furniture and carpets were a little bit on the worn side, but not quite to the point of being shabby (although they need to start renovating oon or they will get to that point). Breakfast is about as good as it gets for a buffet type breakfast (Grits and Oatmeal were both really good, there are real non-powdered eggs, bacon or sausage, etc.)

The pool looked nice, but we stayed there in December so we didn't use it. The grounds are nice, and even though right near the interstate we never had any noise issues in our room.

This hotel is good; large room, good breakfast, nice grounds, good customer service, and a fair price. There is a good chance I'll stay here again on my next trip to Baton Rouge.,

Saw the reviews, so called as I was driving my 78-year old mom from Texas to Georgia and chose to spend the night here. It was great! Good rooms and an awesome breakfast. Tina heard us raving about eating bacon for breakfast, and even though it was sausage day, she cooked a plate of bacon specially for us. That's what I call 5-star service! I'll stay here again.

Had not stayed at this property in over a year, it was my first choice in BR pre-Katrina, but suffered some after. I am happy to say that this is now back on my preferred list of places to stay in BR. The staff were great, room was clean and well appointed and at $107 for a suite was a real bargain. The included breakfast had all the basics covered. The large lounge was good for business entertaining, but I do miss those free drinks. Convenient location, close to good restaurants. Overall, a very good place to stay.

Our suite was clean and the staff was very accommodating. The hotel had a great breakfast and Bobby is always there to help with anything you may need.
