“Gem in Baton Rouge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

I made a quick trip down to visit my son in Baton Rouge. I booked a package deal with Expedia for a flight and hotel. The Cook Hotel was a great place to stay! The staff were all extremely nice and very helpful. The room was comfortable and the location of the hotel was great. There is a walking trail by the University Lake in front of the hotel. The neighborhood was generally quiet and there is ample parking. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and there were several choices. Overall, I will certainly plan on staying at this hotel and would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone planning on staying in Baton Rouge.

“Fall Football”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

Our experience at the hotel was great! We come for home games every fall and love the convenience of the hotel. The front desk workers are extremely helpful and go out of their way to assist you. Sometimes the hotel will under staff the front desk, but we still feel the service is great! The rooms are spacious and clean which is a big plus.

“Front desk person distracted!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We recently stayed on our beloved lsu campus at the cook hotel. We have stayed multiple times and overlooked things then, but this time I decided to write a review. We stayed on Oct 6th, in the middle of the week and hotel clearly was not full. We arrived around 8pm and the front desk person was on the phone. She told the person on the phone she would have to call them back. We asked if upgrade was possible and she said no because the room was prepaid through expedia. What? She was not friendly or helpful when asking directions to a restaurant and got back on the phone immediately after we got our room key. Very disappointed cause we really want to LOVE this hotel!

Room Tip: No microwave or refrigerator in the room. It was average to say the least. However the room colors a...

The stay at the Cook Hotel was very enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The hotel grounds are well kept. The pool/spa area is enjoyable and relaxing. The rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable and we enjoyed the "heavenly beds". Your establishment is top rate. We will be back soon knowing we will have a wonderful place to stay while visiting LSU. I want to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to your guests. Thank you very much.

“Great for visiting Louisiana State University”

Clean hotel in a great location to LSU. Pillows were lumpy and room walls were thin. However, because we could leave the car parked and not worry about finding a parking space around campus, we will stay here again (warning: we like to walk!). Some days they left a back gate open and we could cut through. Also the 4-mile run around University Lake at sunset was very nice.
