“We will be back soon.”

The stay at the Cook Hotel was very enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The hotel grounds are well kept. The pool/spa area is enjoyable and relaxing. The rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable and we enjoyed the "heavenly beds". Your establishment is top rate. We will be back soon knowing we will have a wonderful place to stay while visiting LSU. I want to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to your guests. Thank you very much.

“Great for visiting Louisiana State University”

Clean hotel in a great location to LSU. Pillows were lumpy and room walls were thin. However, because we could leave the car parked and not worry about finding a parking space around campus, we will stay here again (warning: we like to walk!). Some days they left a back gate open and we could cut through. Also the 4-mile run around University Lake at sunset was very nice.

“Pretty good all around EXCEPT for the breakfast”

If you need to be on or near the LSU campus, this is a good facility. Good size suite with fully equipped kitchen. LR couch was not very comfortable to sit on; bed was fine; excellent bathroom. We had a substantial discount off the posted rates, and at those prices I thought it was reasonable. The breakfast was basically a very sad experience--horrible scrambled eggs, undercooked grits, sad sausage. Biscuits ok. One morning there was no milk for cereal or coffee. And the coffee is also disappointing. the dining room is just outside of the pool area--the pool seems to be an odd yellowish-green color. So, be prepared for a very mediocre breakfast experience, and forget about going in the pool.

Also--if you are not really familiar with the LSU area, prepare for the fact that you are going to get lost driving around. A good map, maybe a gps is essential.

“Great Hotel!!”

Great Hotel!!! I took my family with me on a business trip. The staff was great. It was on the LSU campus. The "Tiger trails" bus line ran in front of the hotel. It is free. My family used it to tour the campus. They had a great time. No restaurant on site....... but a free, hot breakfast is provided that is great. Lunch is catered---reasonable price. Several places would delivery if you did not want to go out, there are many great places to eat around the campus. I highly recommend it!!!!

“Amazing Place with a tremendous breakfast”

Stayed at the Lod Cook as part of a wedding. The entire facility was first rate. The rooms were as nice as any Marriott I've ever stayed in (I'm a Platinum with Marriott). Great rate and what a breakfast spread! Everything from healthy to great Southern Specialties. Everyone in our wedding party commented on how nice everything was. Many guests were world travelers and came from all over the United States and Canada. Simply could not have been better.
