“Don't Stay Here!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 April 2010

The room had an unpleasant odor (stale smoke in a nonsmoking room), shower rod pulled from wall on both ends and hanging loose, phone unplugged, refrigerator so noisy had to unplug to sleep, mattress cheap and uncomfortable, fitted sheet did not fit, mattress pad balled up under sheet, carpet filthy with numerous stains and a dog barked all night. The employees were courteous and were willing to give us another room but we had already unpacked and dressed for bed. Overall, this was a terrible motel and the first and last time I will stay in a Days Inn.

“Nice for the Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2010

Just needed a place to sleep and the price was right. Room was clean, quiet and well equipped (just missign one bath towel that was easily obtained). Check in/out for prompt and accurate. Free breakfast even included waffles. Would stay there again.

“Travelers Beware!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2009

The customer service here is very bad! The two ladies that work the front desk are very mouthy and treated us horribly. When we arrived in Baton Rouge we had a reservation at Motel 6 - which is right next door to Days Inn. We noticed that the Days Inn offered breakfast, so we decided to go and ask for their rate, but first we went to the Ramada Inn, which is on the other side of Days Inn to see what their rate was. Ramada did not accept pets so we did not stay there (we have a small dog). So we went to Days Inn and asked the clerk how much a night was for "two adults, one child and one small dog". We told him that we have a reservation at Motel 6 and that it would be about 60 dollars including taxes. He gave us this same rate without taxes applied (65 dollars more or less a night after taxes). We cancelled our reservation at Motel 6 and stayed at Days Inn. After 5 days of us letting our dog out for walks and to the bathroom etc, we were very rudely treated when we went to go pay for one more night. The lady at the front (Tues April 21, 2009) told us that we would need to pay 90 dollars more for 15 dollars more per day fee for having a dog and lying to them. She just assumed that we lied about our pet, did not ask us if we had initially told them or not. She was never nice in her tone. What ever happened to the American customer service: The customer is always right? I don't want to take advantage of anybody, but we could have been treated a little nicer, perhaps asked if we had claimed the dog in the first place - which we did. There is no way that this hotel is worth $80 a night with the pet fee! The rooms are cleaned alright, but the carpets are very old and sticky, the beds have springs sticking out of them and EVERY DAY the toilet overflowed. When we would ask housekeeping to provide us with one more towel a day for our son, they would argue with us that we were only allowed 2 per room - ?!?! That is crazy for even 65 dollars a night we should get a third towel. During the night, when my husband would take our dog out to go to the restroom, we would have prostitutes approach our room. And they would hang around even after we would shut and lock the door. I told the employees of Days Inn about our toilet and would tell the front desk to tell housekeeping that we wanted three towels. Apparently they did not take my requests or complaints seriously b/c it was still an issue. We did not check out immediately because with a three year old and all of the electronics that we need to set up for our company (we are an independent business and in Baton Rouge on business) it is kind of a pain to pack up and move everything, so we put up with the small stuff. However, there is no excuse in my book for the motel employees to treat a paying customer the way they did us. Also they appear to be renovating the Days Inn, but in the 5 days I was there nothing was renovated and there is large pieces of furniture all over the property just sitting out, kind of junky looking. The Motel 6 next door is newly renovated with 32 inch high def flat screen TV’s, new beds, new floors and working plumbing and they allow pets all for just 60 dollars a night. We should have never cancelled that reservation; we should have stayed there to begin with. I recommend anybody to stay at the Motel 6 next door or the Ramada which also had a very nice appearance. I miss the days where customers were treated respectfully when they were spending their money with a company and treated kindly or in other words not being called a liar directly to their face. I am just very disappointed at how the employees treated a customer. We are AAA customers and I will be reporting this complaint to Triple A and also to the BBB and any other internet motel rating services.
Also, one more thing, the photos that are features for this Hotel are defineatly not the rooms that I saw, our headboard fell while we were sleeping one night and the iron and hair dryer had fallen off the wall and just put on top of the TV. And they wanted 80 dollars a night for that!

“Good enough for Mardi Gras”

Our stay was pleasant, room was clean and everything was functioning properly. My only complaint is THIS IS A 'WORKING GIRLS' MOTEL!!!! There were men driving around in circles looking for prostitutes that obviously work from this motel.
I made the mistake of standing in the window and this jerk thought that I was one...urghhh! He even went so far as to call my room!!!! I felt dirty and very disrespected. The motel itself was very clean and my room was fine for the short stay, but don't stay here by yourself.

“Hide your Credit Cards”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2008

I stayed at the Days Inn for three weeks in Rm 244 checking in on the 5th of September 2008 and checked out on the 26th of September 2008. I had heard many complaints about improper billing and had a few issues myself but thought I had corrected them. Those being they did not have my name on the reciept for tax purposes and I thought I had them corrected. My roommates had the same problem where improper billing procedures were happening. Any way I was charged $217.53 a week. I checked out and thought everything was straight. A full week later I checked my account balance, as I do regularly and and noticed they had charged me for a fourth week of which I was not there. I called to talk to Tenisha (the manager)and they said she would not be in till 4pm 10-03-08. I called at 6:30pm and she said she would call me back right away as soon as she could get to the computer. She never called for 45 minutes. At 715pm I called her back and she said there was nothing she could do about it right then that she would have to get back to me tomorrow afternoon 10-04-08. Tenisha then said hold on a minute and put me on hold. When she came back she said she wasn't going to banter with me about it, that she would be able to handle it the next day and hung up on me. Not very professional or appreciated since they had already run another $217.53 on my account and I had to wait and see. Still at this point in time I don't know how to handle this situation since I know I will have to call her tomorrow and she will not call me back as before. How is it that they can just use your credit card number again at any point in time without me being there, especially a full week later. Should I have to always watch my back when I leave a debit card for hotels? I don't think so! And for her to handle the situation in that manner I was appalled. I thought since I waited from the evening of 10-02-08 when I first noticed it and called the hotel that i would get a better responce or resolution. At that point in time on the evening of 10-02-08 8pm they told me they could not do anything until Tenisha came in on Friday the 3rd of October 2008 at 4pm. I called at 6:30 pm 10-03-08 and have gotten no resolution or empathy for so. Still I have to wait until she says she was going to call me back like she did before and I had to call her back 45 minutes later.
Well here it is three and a half weeks later and Tenisha and pretty much everybody there is still dodging me. I was told that Tenisha the so called manager would call me back as soon as possible, but I knew better than that and of course I got no call. I called again a half hour later and Tenisha was busy with a customer and unable to talk to me again. Days Inn is Robbing people and most of them if not all of them are not even aware of it. I have seen this all over the internet now and it is amazing how they can continually get away with this highway robbery. Never in my life have I been treated with such disregard. I have alerted the Better Business Bureau and as well what they called The Daqys Inn headQuarters which sounded like they could care less. When they took my complaint I could hardly believe it was for real when they told me my case number was 112233. Never again days Inn beware they will abuse your credit card and privacy.

  • Liked — the stench when you immediately walk in the rooms ummhh yeah
  • Disliked — getting there
