My co-worker and I travelled to Baton Rouge this week. We had a reservation to stay here for 3 nights but we checked out after the first morning.
Pros:
The hotel is pretty easy to get to and it seems like a pretty standard Spring Hill Suites. The beds were OK. My room had a flat screen TV that would roll between the Living room and Bedroom. The gym had plenty of equipment and they have a nice indoor pool. The breakfast was standard fare.
Cons:
We checked out because the WIFI was, so slow that the home page pictures were going line by line. This prevented any work from being done. We even attempted to change the reservation on the PC in the lobby in the morning (6am), but I was able to do it on my phone before their PC would even log in. The TV in the room was tethered to the wall and apparently it had been moved too far a few times because the sockets were broken. I had to relolcate the TV plug to a different outlet to get it to turn on.
I did have a memorable experience as we were checking out, the fire alarm went off. Someone had burned a waffle and smoke was enough to set it off. Not their fault, but I will definately remember it.
If you are just looking for a nice little hotel, go for it.
If you need to work after you make it to the room, I would call to ask if they have updated their WIFI system before I would make a reservation.

Thank you very much for your comments. I know that you stayed with us in October of last year but I just signed up for an account so I wanted to respond to you. I am so excited to report that the hotel just recently upgraded to a 10mg bandwidth circuit that will increase your connectivity speed. I am glad that you enjoyed our indoor pool, exercise room and flat screen televisions. I hope that you give us another chance when you are in Baton Rouge so that you can test our new internet.
